I had a mint plant in a pot that was dying so in a last ditch effort to save it I planted it in a corner of my strawberry patch. It died off and I thought that was the end of it. The next summer I had a mojito mint explosion and now I have a 25 sqft bed running rampant with strawberries and mint. It's a bit of work to keep organized but the strawberry & mint mojito parties in the summer make it totally worth it!

Alberta Urban Garden Simple Organic and Sustainable it's good that there are no dislikes so far! and i have a question is tea really bad for you because my grandmother says that it's bad for my intestines (the tea i drink is lipton)

This is a good video. As the weather is so much cooler many of us are snacking on tea. Saving our mint in the summer for winter and getting a dehydrator gives us some goals. The Living Web Farms also illustrated how a dehydrator can be useful: "Preserving Food Without Refrigeration with Kelley Wilkinson".

It is a great thing to do during the summer.

Love it! Where can I buy a dehydrator? Can I buy it online? I live in Europ
@JimCarver8 жыл бұрын
I don't use a dehydrator for mint. It air dries in the house. I guess if you have a really humid climate you could put a small fan on it.
@AlbertaUrbanGarden8 жыл бұрын
I certainly wish I could. As you know I am a low energy proponent but I have failed year after year!
@JimCarver8 жыл бұрын
***** Many people confuse energy usage and energy efficiency, when you look at it from a systems standpoint you are way ahead of the game. For example, I use high power lights during the winter, I get tremendous yields and since I have to heat my house with electricity anyway, it adds nothing to my total energy use. I could be running the heater to stay warm and growing nothing.
