One thing that is slightly annoying with the game is that IRL, I have never heard of feeding even a little bit of straw to animals. Just hay, silage and mineral additives. And the other slightly annoying thing is that I keep watching your videos instead of playing my game myself!!!! 😵‍💫 By the way, I am an elderly fan and not very computer savvy. Are the mods you use ones that you download and use via Smapi? I always seem to fail at that. Wish it were simpler.

Sometimes its funny to see how impatient you are when it comes to equipment upgrades. I know you want to have the nice huge planter but if you look at the size of the fields you have it makes no sense for you to do that, in fact you already said its hard to get around the area you have with your current equipment in this video. When I play this game I tend to multitask with a worker or two while I take care of the things they can't typically handle. This makes it seem like your wasting less time and keeps the game feeling more realistic to me as some of the equipment is very much out of reach for the farm size. But I understand that it's your game so play as you wish! just giving my 2 cents.

I think you probably already saw the answer in your other video's comments, but the reason the 2nd feralization with the seeder didn't take on the other field is because there wasn't a "state change" of the field between fertilizations. It seems the most common method is to fertilize, then cultivate, then plant with fertilizer. Loving the series, its cool to see you just playing the game without the roleplay once and a while.

To apply fertiliser as a second application when sowing you need to have applied first application prior to cultivation

I think it would be a great feature if you could buy materials when they're cheaper and then re-sell them when the price goes up, especially with the building projects like the play ground needing rope. Maybe something a modder can figure out.

Yes the parts of the field that won't seed is Hail Damage. You have to plow it over then reseed.

in my case it gave me a million extra liters of grain and I only had 40k in my silo.

i had this inventory bug on on 22 for the first time the other day, I think it was caused by overlapping a non related silo with a manure heap (Silo and heap acted as one storage) bug came after grain mill placement of a mini mill (mod) or maybe the mini production point I placed had another production point built into the map with the same name? I just deleted the small mill. odd you had the same bug with a small mill. Mine was the farm production mod on 22

two of the starter fields on RIver bend give me that fertilizer problems starting out. I plow, lime, fert, then use the seeder that adds fertilizer to get the second state. and 2 of the 3 fields dont register it for me and I have to add it again after the first growth state

Productions share capacity with silos if theyre close enough / compatible.

I had the same issue with the grain mill, I found out it only happens if you put it near a silo

You have to have some major state change (think changing the state of the actual earth) between fertilizing. This could be plowing, cultivating, or letting the crop grow for one month. If you fert before seeding you should not use a seeder with fertilizer as that does not change the state of ground it just layers the seeds "on top" so to speak. The easiest way to do/remember, I've found, is I harvest/fertilize/plow or cultivate/seed with fert(or seed and then fert). This also keeps me honest with grass as well because its a similar process of harvest -> fertilize and makes remembering to fertilize both types of field easy. Though, with Rice only need one fertilizer state I have to triple check every time I harvest rice to make sure I don't have to fertilize because it feels wrong.

I had the very same bug with the silo. And I thought, well, okay. Bugs happen. But when i found out that exactly the same bug existed in the previous version of the game it freaking shocked me. Kinda shows how much efforts the dudes put in the production of their game

The fertilizer is order specific. If you try fertilizer then seed with fertilizer it won't take. I harvest, fertilize, plow/cultivate, seed with fertilizer, roll, weed or spray, and have no issues. It was like that back in 19 as well. Never bothered with 22. Happy Thanksgiving.

I installed the same small grain mill to produce flour as well and went to put my 8000L in it and it said it already had 150,000L. I'm on PS5 so I do believe the production has a bug in it. I don't think it's any mods that you have. I also placed mine right next to my silo

I would love for small tractor mods and medium tractor mods to come out.. The stock vehicles aren't as good imo.. and the lack of vehicles to start this game with (no mods) is really bad imo. barely have anything to start with.. from a game that in its first month made over 200 million bucks on release they dropped NO content in it.. shameful

Oh yea from what I found this bug was in FS22 too and not from a mod (like someone else said, it's because the production building like grain mill is placed too close to a silo), I fixed it in FS25 by buying another silo little bit further away, moved everything from the old silo to the new one and and then sold the old one, also sold and re-bought my grain mill back so it resets. Obviously I lost money by doing this so I just "cheated" them back in to be even. (Could've just move the grain mill but all my production buildings were there too and I didn't want to move everything so I just moved the silo.
