A word of advice from one who has lived out of bag for years on end: take the time to carefully wash your bag every year or so. Regular annual washes will extend the lifetime of bags by a considerable length of time. My modified Hawkepaks Rifle Bag lasted 6 years of everyday use, and still sees occasional use, because I wash it every year or so. Tiny shards of grit that get embedded in dirty fabric cut fibers as the fabric gets used. Keep it clean, and your bag will last, last, last.

Great video thanks. Nice EDC Kit. Not to heavy but can & does the job like a much bigger and heavier Kit would do.

I have the 6 inch pliers wrench and I love them. I wanted the extra opening width, so I just got the 6 inch to go with my 5 inch cobra wrench. I love them for facet replacement.

We have them same disease, in the pursuit of perfection we fail to realise the obvious ie get a slightly bigger tool pouch.

Yes and no... That extra room can be an irresistible temptation to add even more crap to the soup.

Hey man, I hope you're still out there and that you'll start posting agin because you have absolutely top notch systems. It's really refreshing to see bags and kits that are customised to this extent and unlike anything else. God bless.

The larger sized tools are important to me. If an SAK works better for you then use it... Whatever works best for your needs.

Also the LM tools lock open which is a huge advantage... Non-locking tools suck to use.

@@gearfondler3161 question, have you tried the mini combination pliers by knipex? Is the cobra superior?
@tallswede80 Жыл бұрын
@@gearfondler3161 I think locking tools are fine, but they are generally too weak and give a false sense of security. It's better to just understand the limitations of folding tools and act accordingly

If you mean the Cobra XS Pliers, then no I have not tried them as they are only slightly smaller and I don't see any advantage for me.

I find most EDC products to be more novelty items than tools, but the Doc Allen Versatool is one of the exceptions. In situations where space is at a premium and every tool must multi-task it's a godsend. The fact that it's bulletproof makes it all the more valuable. Normal bits wear out far too quickly, so I use impact bits whenever possible.
