I find most EDC products to be more novelty items than tools, but the Doc Allen Versatool is one of the exceptions. In situations where space is at a premium and every tool must multi-task it's a godsend. The fact that it's bulletproof makes it all the more valuable. Normal bits wear out far too quickly, so I use impact bits whenever possible.

Nice ..i have something i just got for my bag .. a !/4 to micro bit drive .. and a $8 micro drive screwdriver that is short but has a nice little selection of micro bits in a holder that comes with it .. they get used more than i thought all the time ..

Just my 2 cents, I use a Charge TTi with bit set everyday at work doing maintenance and I've never had an issue with the bits. They won't last forever and eventually you will have to get new bits but they last me about 5 years or so. Never say never but I haven't had an issue yet. great vid.

Unfortunately no... Like most bit sockets it is too shallow to allow the double ended LM bits to seat far enough to hold properly.

Never heard of Doc Allen till now but looking at it I'd say they are buying from him and not using his name or they are ripping him off... I have no idea which is the case.

@@gearfondler3161 Allen has the patent on the design and, until recently, CC was selling them stamped with his name on it. Allen also used to sell them for about 10 bucks, rather than the 30-odd that CC now charge for their copy. Rather questionable either way...

@@gearfondler3161 I've not actually experienced CC, being in a different country several thousand miles away... But they do seem like overpriced rip-off merchants. They have their own version of those Sliver Gripper tweezers, too, for example.
