A word of advice from one who has lived out of bag for years on end: take the time to carefully wash your bag every year or so. Regular annual washes will extend the lifetime of bags by a considerable length of time. My modified Hawkepaks Rifle Bag lasted 6 years of everyday use, and still sees occasional use, because I wash it every year or so. Tiny shards of grit that get embedded in dirty fabric cut fibers as the fabric gets used. Keep it clean, and your bag will last, last, last.

its an excellent bag - more tool oriented but i guess that's what you need - i struggle with constant refinement of mine - they all get so heavy over time - i like the saw idea - i use a STANLEY 20-331 pull saw - the handle can clamp on saws all blades and its so compact - i respect your commitment

If I was to suggest anything it would be to possibly attach a seatbelt cutter on the outside of the pack since it's next you. Yes you have the knife but I've found those to be tricky to actually cut through a seatbelt as quickly as a good seatbelt cutter. It's also normally small enough to not take up too much space. Great video it gave me a lot of ideas to add to my setup!
