Is there a way to see all your build videos for this particular ship?

Fantastic job!

It really turned out well. I like the polished look. I have enjoyed watching you work on that build. Your propeller looks nice. I had difficulty with the “center section fairing”, the part suspended above the wind shield. I plan to later build the 1/8 scale camel. I greatly enjoy watching your videos. Have a great break and I will look forward to your next series. Thank you.

Hi John, great build, museum quality! I would suggest a display case before the dust gremlins start their evil attacks gets underway!! Perhaps a dust cover in the meantime. Regards JH
@Johnbuildsiconic12 сағат бұрын
Thank you Johnny, I’ve been pricing at a display case, looking about £200 for the pleasure, so it may have to be a dust cover or start with
@johnnyhollis997710 сағат бұрын
@@Johnbuildsiconic I have made my own in the past John. Some Perspex from B&Q and a light oak wooden L shape to strengthen the edges. Worst bit is the mitring of the corners! The first display case is the worst! I made one for my 1/50 HMS Bounty which turned out pretty big as you can imagine. Looking forward to your next project. Stay safe, spring is coming! JH.

Looks amazing and I really like the polished finished you've given the engine cowl and side panels. I found the engine construction really tricky because the casting wasn't great and all the parts needed a lot of fettling. My favourite part of the build was the propeller, which I feared was going to be a headache, but it was really therapeutic to do and as it was sanded and the shape appeared I was overjoyed. Looking forward to seeing how you get on with it, but based on the rest of your build I imagine it will be faultless

Looking really nice. When I glued my propeller laminations I added a touch of black paint to the wood glue and got really good results that look like the black glues they actually use. Have fun. Thanks for the video.

Thank you John, I’m going to paint the inside layers of propeller black so hopefully the black layers will show though after sanding

GREAT work John! I only wish some of your steps had descriptions, spoken or written. As an example, what happened between 2:23 and 2:27, the upper side became quite dark with no explanation. At about 6:03 you started applying airbrushed highlights with a heavily thinned lighter color? Around 6:59, as you applied gray to vertical surfaces with a brush, was that an oil wash/filter? Not trying to bust balls, just speaking as an observer trying to learn from people far more talented than I. You should not worry about giving away your "trade secrets" people like me will never compete against you. it is just that I think details like that will help your channel, you have already mastered the build/paint/record/edit parts.
