Does anyone know if these are also a hack job on the inside? I opened a brand new Epi LP custom to put in new pickups and electronics and the inside, sawdust poured out of the output hole and it looked like they used a beaver to bore the cavities. They even painted over the sawdust 😅 Plays pretty nice tho

I’m definitely not an Epi or Gibson guy, just picked this up on an impulse but new $649 to use as a riff stick in E-flat tuning with a group of buddy’s. I saw it hanging next to an EP Adam Jones that was $1300. I’m like, that white one is $649 on sale, I’ll grab that and make my own Epi custom lol. I ordered DiMarzio Super D in gold/gold posts for the bridge, DiMarzio Steve Morse PAF white/gold posts for the neck, some push/pull pots, orange drops, gold keystone locking Grover’s When I opened the cavity covers it was a helluva hack job, sawdust falling out; PAINTED OVER SAW DUST!! LOL Thing rips for sure. I like my custom Epi the best tho lol I named it the Epic Les Paul Custom 😅 But was just wondering, those stock signatures are like $1200+, and was wondering if they used chainsaws to bore the cavities too haha

The brat strat! You wasted the entire review including the final song by not even demonstrating the true Strat nature of this guitar. You're obviously a humbucker guy and couldn't get off the pick up. I have 4 Strandbergs including the Trans Teal Neck-Thru Fusion which got lost on a boat after they'd been covid deleted... Lucky me!😊 But this Bratty Strat... Can resist no longer... Was hoping for a seven-string version but...

no offense but u didnt showcase the 7 string at all, its a 7 string , and your playing it like a 6....the whole reason u get a 7 string is to play the 7'th string for heavy HEAVY CHUGGING.which none was shown... not any metal riffs.

I have several Klon type pedals including the original gold Archer Icon as well as some other brands and none of them do high gain. Is this one really as gainy as it sounds or are some of these sound clips the pedal over a semi-overdriven amp tone?

Personally I don't like the channel 2 overdrive tones on these Marshall MG series but the clean channel takes drive pedals really well. You put any good Marshall-in-a-box type distortion or OD pedal in front of these and they sound great.
@JorgeSalasGuitar

It’s not a bad OD. It’s not metal or high gain but I remember enjoying the “crunch” I got from it. Thanks for your comment!

For those that even care it's called factory Burst Because that's the original cherry red color they came in back in 1959. It's called factory burst because there's no fading yet. That is what it would look like brand new out of the factory.

I have GIbsons and I have Epiphones. Gibson has owned Epiphone since the 1950s. From like 1950 to maybe mid 90s Epiphone was good, but then went to absolute trash until around 2018 - 2020ish when they came back. I guess Gibson decided, hey we'd sell a lot more guitars if we made very solid ones under the Epiphone name and sold them at a fair price and left the high end ones to the Gibson name. That model, I think, has worked. I own a 2020 Epiphone Les Paul Modern and a 2018 Epiphone Les Paul 1960s Tribute Plus (<--might be the best Epi ever made IMO). Both of those guitars I would take over any of the Gibsons I have (which I would characterize as mid range ones). But, I've played high end Gibsons, too. I just don't own them. If the Epi Classic is $549 and the Gibby Classic is $2,400, I'm going Epi all day long because if the GIbby is a 10 out of 10 then the Epi is an 8 and it's not worth almost $1,900 to get 2 more points. I firmly believe in get yourself a soild guitar and put the lion's share of your budget towards a great amp. But, that's just my 2 cents.
@JorgeSalasGuitar

Love all this info! If I am totally honest, the EPI Classic doesn’t come near my Gibson Classic. I am in love with my Classic. It’s the best guitar I’ve ever owned. I’m going to do another video on it because it’s just SUCH a solid guitar and completely worth the investment. Again, just my 2 cents as well! Thanks for the comment!

You've tried to mislead the public into thinking low impedance pedals can work with high impedance equipment. You've also tried to tell the public the signature electronics can work outside what the designers intended them to work. So you've been reported to the authorities for misleading and lying to the public.

my biggest disappointment with the epiphone ES 335 is the nickel plating on the pickup covers and tail piece. All it took was a couple gigs (and I am very careful) for pickup covers to fade in certain areas where it looks like the nickel plating has actually wore off,, as well as tailpiece which also scratches up so easily, of course guitar was beautiful when taken out of the box,, hardware coating deteriorated so quickly and I feel it looks bad

By the way Clapton got the woman tone by setting the tone on the neck PAF to the sweet spot between 0 to 1 and set the volume to between maximum or 9. Sometimes he would use both pickups together with the same settings and would turn up the bridge PAF tone slightly higher (approx 3 or 4). Unfortunately for those of us unable to afford a 60 yr old Gibson achieving an authentic woman tone is far easier with genuine 50s wiring & vintage PAFs.

Check both volumes controls....and one of the tones.. I think it's the upper one... Volumes are push / pull and split the coils....The tone is a phase This guitar can get so many different tones. I try to do as much playing and research as I can do on an instrument before doing a review. I just reviewed this guitar about a week before you posted this ... And I to believe it is a great guitar. This is not the Epiphone I remember from 15 to 20 years ago... They have stepped up their game.

Thanks. I have an older 15 which has a line out . I wonder why they dropped it on older versions. Anyway ,I just did an outside gig before about three hundred audience and they miked it. I took a larger tube amp expecting that the Marshall mg15 would be way too small. But the sound guy miked it and was happy to run with it. Go figure ?! The current mixers and pa systems are so much better these days. I suppose if you do heavier rock /metal etc and bigger venues bigger amps are required. It does make you wonder though wether buying and lugging around 100 w are drawing to a close.
