I'm also a Les Paul guy, from WAY back. I just ordered this Modern Lite in the TV Wheat color., the 490R/498T are actually my favorite Gibson Pickups. Thanks for the video, I just subscribed.

I can’t wait to try one of the modern lites. They look like they would be great for small female guitar players. My big LP leaves red marks on my clavicle when I play it 😅

I love your tone! Especially your lead tone. What type of amp or modeling distortion are you using? Thanks, great video by the way.

Your description of having to fight the guitar is odd to me. When I pick a guitar. I want it to get out of my way. This Les Paul lite does just that. It's freaking awesome. I love it. I bought one last week.

Late reply but I was scrolling through some comments: I love that we each have different things to look for. I try my best to portray that in my videos and only offer my own opinion on things. How’s the guitar? Gigging with it?

How's the porous neck feeling after playing it for awhile? Does it ever get sticky, gunky, or shiny on you?
@JorgeSalasGuitar4 ай бұрын
Still porous! It stays pretty clean, I’d clean it every week or so though!

But Jorge, you are small so the small tuners are appropriate...joke. This is the first video of yours I've seen. I sub'd. I'm considering either a Gibson Tribute or this beautiful Modern Lite in GMS! I have a heavy but amazing Agile AP 3100 goldtop with P90's but prefer the weight of my Epi Sg! I prefer the lighter guitars and this one is very nice, too bad it's not more on the gold side. Thanks for sharing!

Haha I freaken love it. If my opinion counts, I liked the tribute more than the Modern Lite. Thanks for the comment and keep rockin!!!
@dragan46587 ай бұрын
@@JorgeSalasGuitar I appreciate your input. Why did you like the Tribute better than the new Lite?
@JorgeSalasGuitar7 ай бұрын
@@dragan4658 The Lite was too skinny for my taste. The Tribute had some thickness. I personally like that in my LPs.
@dragan46587 ай бұрын
@JorgeSalasGuitar I see. I would probably like the Lite then, as I have an Epiphone Sg, and I like how light it is, and I like my guitars to have a belly cut. So far there are none in stock locally, so I haven't had a chance to try one yet. Thanks for your input, greatly appreciated.

@@JorgeSalasGuitar That's crazy! Good luck. This Gibson I just bought, the Les Paul lite is the first one I've bought that didn't need any kind of correction or need to be returned in the last 6 Gibsons I bought. I just love the way they sound and feel so I'm kind of a glutton for punishment I guess, lol. I was pleasantly surprised with this one though, can't stop playing it.

This guy says all he uses are Les Pauls and yet he has never noticed that the “poker chip” on the pickup toggle switch says “rhythm” and “treble.” ? He doesn’t know what the “R” in a 490R pickup would stand for? That seems preposterous to me. How could you be that unaware of your instrument, if it’s your favorite and you use them all the time? Makes no sense…
