I remember reading that if your going to do a collection in the hope that it may be worth something in the future collect something that you personally get enjoyment from as should it never be worth much at least it's not been money down the drain as you had and still get enjoyment from. Personal tip if you collect anything make sure your going to have enough space for that and also is it affordable. So if you collect lego a don't have much room or money better to collect smaller cheaper sets such as speed champions rather than the bigger and more expensive sets.

@@nammis77 honestly I’m glad I didn’t buy it in some ways. At the time I couldn’t afford which would have meant I’d have had to sold it really quick with virtually no profit. I believe the one I was unable to buy was sold to Jim Stevenson who sold it on to someone overseas for not a great deal of money. Very different times.

@@theloneranger2101 no it was a rocket firing original one they didn’t come packaged. We’ve had a fair few vintage packaged ‘normal’ Boba’s over the years.

SMDM was made back when creators really worked hard to create inventive toys. I grew up in an era where your imagination was a key ingredient in play. And I don't think there was ever a better figure when it came to complete originality that sparked so many possibilities.

I love that you were disregarding this absurd story throughout this interview. I just wish they also brought an investigative journalist (or somebody qualified) to talk about how auction houses basically lie about the value of things by selling their stuff to money launderers. A perfect example would be that one auction house selling Mario 64 for £1.5million and the controversy around that.

aye, congratulations!!! love that you keep spreading that fantastic message that folks need focus on collecting what they like. the investment mentality is toxic. you'll end up with a storage from full of plastic that infuriates you because it hasn't returned an investment like you'd hope. buy and collect what you truly enjoy and you'll never be unhappy! :D
