I can't believe I've not heard of 'Mad Monster Party'. The animation reminds me of 'Chorlton and the Wheelies'. It looks right up my street. I love those figures.

Chorlton and the wheelies was a cosgrove hall classic - and was named after the area they were based and I grew up - chorlton in Manchester !

I have fond memories of watching Mad Monster Party - a classic! Never knew they made toys! Mind blown 😮 and another film I remember loving as a kid - Dr Doolittle - plus who doesn’t love llamas 😂

Very cool I'm old enough to remember both Mad Monster Party and Doctor Doolittle In fact I think both came out the same year

Doctor Dolittle was filmed at Castle Combe in Wiltshire - not far from me - I have not seen a talking cottage there though

Two very nice items of merchandise based on films form the same year: 1967. I'm more drawn to Universal Monsters than Dr Doolittle, probably. However, the Dr Doolittle toy wins for me as it is genuinely vintage. That 15/6 price-label should have been an indication that the toy was from the 60s, not 70s! (Skeletor-Editor says: Decimalisation in the UK was in 1971!)
