My ancestors were the Clifton family. My maiden surname is Clifton. I live in America and have directly traced my Clifton family as far back as the Clifton family can be traced. I had a friend, a bookseller, who lived in Nottingham and who has since died, and in past years he helped me to be able to purchase photographs of Clifton Hall and books about my ancestors. One thing I have always wanted to do is to go on a walk through Clifton Grove and Clifton Woods and see all of the botanicals there, along with the river Trent. You two took me there with this video.
