Hiking Around Ashover | One of Derbyshire's Most Picturesque Villages | Amber Valley

In this video we take a fairly short walk through the lovely countryside of North East Derbyshire, just a few miles from the Peak District. Ashover is a pretty village which lies in the beautiful Amber Valley with a long history as an industrial centre.

Walk length: 5 miles (3 hours roughly)
Start/end point: Ashover Parish Hall, Milken Ln, Ashover, Chesterfield S45 0BA

Car park: Free parking at Ashover Parish Hall. If car park full there is roadside parking in the village. Public toilets just beyond The Stamp café on Moor Road, but not on route. Dogs should be ok if kept on leads.

I saw the domes day book when it was on display in 2017 at Lincoln castle. Really nice walk and some great views. I liked the quarry. It wasn’t far for Patrick to travel either. Nice day out and nice to watch, thanks
