Some of the video actually displays the 93d at New Orleans in 1815, though the uniforms are wrong as they are in many illustrations. The 93d cut up their kilts to make trews which the wore in the chilly winter that year in Bayou country.

The Gordon Highlanders did not fight in the American Revolution as the regiment was not formed until 1794, well after the Revolutionary War had ended; however, other Scottish Highland regiments, like the 42nd Regiment of Foot (Black Watch), did participate in the war on the British side.
