Looking at Dean Ford on stage performing in the 1960s at the peak of his career makes it that more poignant to know as an older man he was driving a limo for other pop stars and was told not to talk about his personal life. Must have been very tough for him to stay quiet about his hit records and his time in the bright lights of fame.

I have enjoyed this song and music since it first came out! I hate he is now gone but loved when he came out with this version in his older years! Me now in my seventies can reflect! ❤️

Bravos !

So many musicians that are unique and talented. You two included. I didn’t know about Dean until about yesterday. Don’t know how I could have missed his earlier work.

“The world is a bad place, a bad place, a terrible place to live. Oh but I don’t want to die”. Believe in God, Believe in Heaven. Most of us don’t know when our time on earth will come to an end.

This remake moves me more than I can explain, maybe because I have more Years behind me than I do ahead of me. If anyone has read Dean Fords bio you can understand and feel the pain and angst in his vocals on this version. Rest In Power Dean Ford

This is his best version of this song. He sang it in the moonlight of his life. It's what the song relates to. Thank you for this version.

RIP DEAN FORD

Lost my beautiful wife Jen, Jennifer, after 54 years, suddenly, Saturday 6 January 2024. Love you, all the World and sixpence sweetheart. I had the original version played at her funeral, it really helped me to cry and greave, but also, a little guilty and self centered.
