DAMN... This Grogu sculpture almost looks like the real grogu animatronic puppet! I'd like to ask you a question. What clay did you use? Im a bit paranoid of what clay ill be using, and im definitely not gonna use Air dry clay, i dont want my baby to fall apart WHILE IM SCULPTING IT- Hell nAw. and If you are using air dry clay, would you be considerate to tell me good types baking clay that are easy to work with? Thanks
@jeditsuyoshi3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! This is chavant clay; its a non-sulphur oil clay used for car designs, special effects, product design, etc. If you want a bake-able clay, I'd go with Cosclay or Super Sculpy. Cosclay (I think that's the name) is just like Super Sculpy except it doesn't get hard and brittle. Can't get it here in Japan though, but Ace of Clay talks about it a lot.

Can I ask why you add the lighter fluid?
@jeditsuyoshi4 жыл бұрын
David, it dissolves, or melts, the clay just a bit, helping to smooth it out. The clay is a chavant, so lighter fluid is my final clean up technique. 70% to 100% alcohol will also work but isn’t quite as abrasive.
@davidpigot86404 жыл бұрын
Amazing work! I'm just wondering where you can buy those eyes? And do you have a tutorial as to how to paint them?
@jeditsuyoshi4 жыл бұрын
David Pigot thanks for asking. Yes, I’ve been planning to put it up for a few months now but was out of the office for the pandemic for almost 4 months. Will post it soon. Check the video description for links.
