What lake are y’all fishing in. It looks a like lake Eufaula in south Alabama. Looks like y’all are fishing in flats
@GordonPettieFishing7 ай бұрын
Guntersville Lake, AL. We are fishing off shore. Looking for the deeper beds in the 5 to 7 foot range. I think those fish don't get targeted as much as the ones that spawn right close to the bank.
@timothywalker86747 ай бұрын
Lake Guntersville is a beautiful lake being seen from the highway. Especially around Scottsboro. I agree with you about where people target bream and shellcracker. I’ve drifted flats and can smell fish in 5 to 7 feet. Caught a lot of them drifting. Bream and shellcracker have definitely gotten bigger in lake Eufaula over the years. It’s become a much more furtile lake than it used to be
@timothywalker86747 ай бұрын
I like using crickets for bluegill especially when the mayflies are hatching along the edges and some of the cypress trees on some of the flats. I never go fishing without worms regardless what I’m fishing for.

I’ve heard a lot about reelfoot lake. Sounds like the kind of lake I like to fish in. I mainly fish lake Eufaula in southern Alabama. It’s part of the Chattahochee River. I fish with a rod and reel with a slip bobber. We catch a lot of nice bluegills. Especially when the mayflies are hatching. Catch a lot of big shellcracker too

Have you ever had your ACC rods break on you?
@GordonPettieFishing9 ай бұрын
I haven't. I have a few different models. I'm not sponsored by them, by the way. I have had rods break before, both crappie and bass rods. Most of the time, rod breakage is due to abuse of some type, (all brands). High sticking, stepping on them, and causing a weak spot, closing lids on them and causing a weak spot, etc. The rod usually breaks a few trips later, and we don't remember that we stepped on it or high sticked that fish a few trips ago. Thanks for watching. 🎣

I know this was sometime ago but love youre setup and I am just this spring going to do the same. One question so when you are using the charger im assuming you have to unplug it everytime to hook the charger into it? Thanks again for the vid
@GordonPettieFishing Жыл бұрын
In my setup on this box, you would have to. If you had two SAE ports, you could use one for charging. The switch has to be on to open the circuit for power or for charging. I think you will like this setup. I still like mine, and I use the box for other things as well.

The seats were done by an upholstery shop that Duck River Marine uses. The rims are 18's. They had to custom build the fenders to accommodate the 18 inch rims and tires.

In Tennessee, the TWRA raises them in Hatcheries across the State. They stock them on a yearly basis as needed on all of my local lakes. Usually 50 to 100,000 fingerlings at a time. They do very well and grow fairly quickly. They are very aggressive, which makes them very fun. Tight lines 🎣

Yes, I do. A few of my 1st few crappie videos, when I 1st started doing videos, there was no Livescope, and Side imaging was not even out yet. Hardly no one watched those videos. Crappie videos got more popular after Livescope came out ironically. I caught just as many fish then as I do now and in the same spots. I just don't have to waste time looking now or fishing a spot that doesn't have fish. That allows me to fish more spots in a day if I have to.
