do you ever use braid or strictly fluorocarbon? use scents? was this Tims? thanks!

90% of the time I use floro. I occasionally go to braid with a florocarbon leader. If I'm targeting brushpiles or cover and having to make longer casts when I may get bit at the end of the cast, I find that braid helps with hook up ratio. I do use scents. I like the convenience of Thump Gel. There is a link in the description. It was on Woods but this technique works VERY WELL on Tim's as well. Thanks for watching.

Dragging through Eel grass?

No eel grass in Woods. Milfoil. It is not very tall yet.

I've also caught them much better dragging it slowly and with pauses, seems they bite it on the pause most of the time. Hammer it I should say. They seem to lose interest when it moves fast. Even on Ozark lakes although that's always been in early spring. But it is a fish catching bait.

I seem to catch most of mine slowly reeling it like in the video but I do catch them dragging it as well. I let the fish tell me how fast to retrieve. I've even caught them with a steady retrieve but I have to go to a heavier head like a 3/4. Its definately a great technique. Thanks for your input. Tight lines 🎣
