As a truck driver, it always amazes me,speaking to the English, how few have been to Scotland...it's just up the road!

Stay safe, if in doubt stay out! Fast flowing rivers, if swept go feet first on your back and look for an eddy, then you roll over and swim like hell into the eddy and get out.

Looks like you are on the 'tourist route' up north which for a first timer is a good idea. Keep going on the road to Mallaig and stop at Glenfinnan (Harry Potter Bridge) It may be busy but at this time of the year with the Autumn colours will be the most spectacular thing you will ever see. Carry on to the beaches at Arisaig and if the weather is right will be the best beaches you will ever see. White sands and turquoise waters :)

Well done on finding your way up here!! And I have done my job for over 20 years because I am out on these roads every day, and somehow I have never been passing Loch Lubnaig at lunchtime to stop even though I want to, maybe next time I'm headed up to Oban or F/William. And for the record, my family always loved Cornwall, especially Westward Ho and Padstow. :) Glad you enjoyed it, shame you didnt stop into Killin to see the falls, amazing. :)

Nice to see you enjoying Scotland. You’re only touching the surface so far! The outer Hebrides and North West coast of Scotland is where you’ll be totally blown away. Even some of the inner Hebrides islands, Mull etc. You’ll not be disappointed, if the weather plays ball. All the best L&D.

You certainly have a deep love for nature, I can tell and it's nice to see you getting out there and being a part of it. There is a lot of stunning scenery up here in Scotland, wish the job market was better though haha nonetheless, looks like you had a blast.

It is beautiful here. The highlands and western isles however are breathtaking. I know the drive from Scotland to Somerset well but it's not one to do tired. Next time please give yourself more time and planning, it'll all be here waiting on you.

Born in Scotland but now live in Devon. Scotland is one of the most beautiful parts of the UK bar none. It’s another level and beyond. Highly recommend anyone to visit and explore the beauty.

I always thought these Scotland videos were a bit nuts, I mean hey, Ben Nevis ain't exactly the Matterhorn. Then I remember thinking back to a holiday I had in Western Canada, and the scenery was Grand, it was Majestic, it was Awesome, it was ... Same! You go for miles and miles through the same pine forests, way off in the distance the same mountain peaks, it's spectacular but it doesn't seem to change very much. But drive for an hour west of Inverness and it changes every 2 minutes, it's sometimes ordinary but often it's just gorgeous.

Born and bred Scot here - I love my country, I'd die for my country - but I wouldn't swim in it unless it was a pool !.. I salute this young lady - not only would that water be freezing but the current looked very strong !

Love your videos but please, please be careful swimming in rivers. That current looked really strong - with that combination of very cold water and strong current you could get into serious difficulty, especially swimming on your own. Have fun but stay safe! 🏊❤

😂 I'm a landscaper. I spend most of my time in the hills, and live in the beautiful Borders. We often stop and just ... look. Because you're right, it's glorious. If you want snow, after Christmas is your best bet but there's snow in the Highlands all year.

It's not the cold you want to watch for in Lochs, it's the sudden very steep drop that you can't see when the day is grey, Loch Ness for example is deeper than parts of the north sea, the currents in that steep drop will drag you under, that's the real kelpie. Far too many people think they're just little puddles and sadly are gone now, each year it happens again and again, anyone swimming in them should be very careful. When you went into the river you felt the strong current, much stronger under the lochs.

15 hours to get to Carlisle? Did you set off from Monte Carlo? 😂 *edit must congratulate you on your camera work though, outstanding. You showed my country in all it's sullen, brooding best. The transformation when the sun comes out is stunning. My old Irish mum told me 'before you go gallivanting around the world my lad, check your own country out first because you'll not find much better elsewhere'. That's high praise from an Irish woman, as Ireland is also utterly spectacular. Glad you enjoyed it. Haste ye back.

I live and work in the central belt of Scotland. It's always a treat to go to the highlands especially when the weather is great. I've seen it all before but I do stop multiple times every trip. The first part is mayhem (M8 Glasgow) but then leave it all behind. Love the A82. I only found recently it's one of Britain's unsafe roads! Was also on the A9 only a few years ago. Loved that drive. The dualling on it should have been done 20/30 years ago
