New sub. How much fun are you! Excellent no frills organic vlogging at it's best. Scotland is simply stunning and have been lucky enough to see a lot of it. Ben nevis completed some years ago (harder coming down than climbing, but worth the view!). Just come back from completing 2/3 of the cape wrath trail. It's simply breathtaking every day up there. Going back soon enough. You can drive to trails which take you to most of the lochs in the Scottish Highlands and for most you end up being the only person on a super secluded beach. It's hard to leave. Great channel. I'm gonna check out your other videos 😊

Lovely to have you here 😊 Completed Ben Nevis on this trip too! An incredible experience and agree coming down was much harder and it was really slippery too. @EleanorGraceDiaries I've just spotted your post at Ben Nevis. It's simply stunning at the peak. Did you notice the small lake halfway up? I'd love to camp there but there's too much foot traffic. Pen y fan in Wales has one and it's much bigger and easy to get to. Scotland is my favourite place though, specifically the Highlands. Never disappoints and you really do feel properly alone camping/hiking there. Wild swimming spots are literally everywhere. The Lochs on the north west coast are by far my favourite places to camp, swim and see the most crazy stunning sunsets. Great job with the channel. Look forward to your next video. Say hi to Stitch 😊

Hiya! It never ceases to amaze me the reaction of visitors to Scotland and how emotional some can get. I am born, bred and live in Scotland and have travelled a fair bit around my beautiful country; particularly spending a lot of time in the Highlands / Glencoe etc., but I have only seen a (very) tiny fraction of what this stunning land has to offer. While I do appreciate and understand the outstanding natural beauty of my country, I feel that I sometimes can take it for granted and could see (and do) so much more. @EleanorGraceDiaries oooo, a rough one on Ben Nevis... I don't envy you there, but do look forward to your next installment of your tour of Scotland. I moved up here for some peace and escape town living. A 4x4 is kind of a must have at times up here... so you're half way there. Really do love this place 😍

15 hours to get to Carlisle? Did you set off from Monte Carlo? 😂 *edit must congratulate you on your camera work though, outstanding. You showed my country in all it's sullen, brooding best. The transformation when the sun comes out is stunning. My old Irish mum told me 'before you go gallivanting around the world my lad, check your own country out first because you'll not find much better elsewhere'. That's high praise from an Irish woman, as Ireland is also utterly spectacular. Glad you enjoyed it. Haste ye back.

If you want to sleep in the car take an eye mask and ear plugs. I would only use both if absolutely necessary,( you want to have some sensory perception incase of emergencies). Having the daylight plus the noise is stopping you from switching off. Hope Scotland is all you hoped for.

You went to Loch long! I used to stay in the hotel on the left of your shot a few years ago 😁 Oh Ellie I totally get the emotion, my first time back in 2010 after 30 years was overwhelming. You did so well with the drive up. I'm driving back to Cornwall at the end of the month for a week or so and the journey does get a bit easier after a while. I have my duvet in the back and have a sleepy usually at Gloucester services who give you 3 hours which makes the difference. Can't wait to see more of your travels. ❤

I also get emotional on the long drive north when I finally cross the border. I also travel up from the West Country and I absolutely hate the caravans and constant roadworks on the M5 and the 'Smart' motorway on the M6, which is just insanely dangerous. A huge sigh of relief once I am over the Thirlwall viaduct and into Lancashire. I know a few quiet stopping off places just off the M6 and the M74 where you can get a decent nights sleep. I also feel insecure trying to sleep in a vehicle in a car park in an urban environment and won't do it unless I feel there is no alternative. I leave the motorway and find a quiet country lane where very likely nobody will pass by all night and then I can sleep properly in the back of my car. There might be a few funny noises outside from farm livestock and wild animals but I live on the edge of the country anyway so that is kind of situation normal.

Still haven't kicked myself in the back side to get fully vlogging but I really still want to haha. Just stressed about what times I'll even have for it or editing lol WOAH!
