You said it all. I've got a looperboard sitting on a shelf right now in the hopes that Headrush does anything with it. The system has so much potential. I used Headrush pedalboard products and love them but the looperboard is the 2nd (or sometimes 3rd) best option for everything I want to do and I don't want to compromise in a live performance.

I'm getting ready to swap over to a RC 600 myself. The option of more loops (up to 6 if you want), loop track flexibility with each track individually (where as the HRLB is either or with all tracks), actually useable guitar fx, and the smaller footprint have kind of got me sold. I know that the UI is nowhere near as intuitive but there are way more tutorials on KZbin than with the HRLB.

Hi! A question! If the Bose S1Pro Plus is turned off and 100% charged. Disconnect it from the power supply. Then after 24 hours it will be discharged by 2%. The next time you turn on the speaker in the Bose Music app, it will be 98% charged. I bought a new column at the end of July 2024. Firmware 3.3.0. I did not immediately pay attention to the self-discharge. Now I have specifically tracked the time and want to find out if other owners of the Bose S1 Pro plus have such a phenomenon or not. Thanks!

I play my American Fender Acoustasonic Stratocaster (5.43lbs) almost exclusively (I have been flirting with my 5150 recently). I also owned a Fender Player Telecaster (4.86lbs) and I loved it as well. But I sold it. I only bought it to try it out knowing I could sell it without a loss. They were both great. I can not stress enough how great the mahogany neck and guitar bodies are. And the fact that there is no gloss! My 5150 is Satin Urethane as well. I like the feel so much that may never buy another guitar with a glossy finish on the body. And almost certainly will never buy a guitar that hasn't a satin feel neck. American Acoustasonic: Battery is an issue. Ebony is superior to the rosewood on Player Series does also pair well with the mahogony. I would like to see Fender release improvements for the Acoustasonic series. A 12-16 compound radius might be the way to go on some models? If I had to choose one guitar for the rest of my life it is the Acoustasonic Strat providing it holds up through the years.

Omg, you're right, the satin finish is FIRE! So good. I gotta admit, I don't know about fretboard radiuses enough. Sounds like you and me are ride-or-die and will be testing the longevity of these instruments!

Have you played an archtop/electric dry through it? What are your thoughts if so? I’m a gigging jazz guitarist and would love the portability of it
@reverenddoctor2 ай бұрын
I have played my acoustasonic through it direct, but not a dry electric guitar. The Acoustasonic has a kind of "twin reverb" effect on it so it doesn't sound like it would if you just plugged an electric guitar into a PA system. It does, however, have a full-range of sound and each channel has its own EQ section with a kind of EQ profile you could try out. I'd encourage you to bring your guitar to a Guitar Center and try one out.

My looperboard is sitting on my shelf for years now. I wanted to like it but it is just not usable in our looper duo because they did not manage to get midi sync working reliable. It's a shame. I am using an akai force with modded firmware and a footcontroller now. Very mighty but also very complicated in live situations.
@reverenddoctor2 ай бұрын
Bro, preach. One of the things that the Looperboard was light on was midi capability, and it's sorely lacking. I got a midi controller working with it, but I did used to have midi sync with a SPD-SX drum pad and stopped using it partially because it was one more piece of gear to bring, but also because my rig could no longer midi sync with the drum controller.

I have! My problem with Aeros is that in order to get more functionality out of the pedal I would just be using an external controller, and by that point I'm just building something at least as large, but more complicated, than the HR Looperboard. Also, hi!

Appreciate hearing your views and responses to the big channels “hate” on these. I enjoy my Player Acoustasonic…I only “play” for my cats at home. But i have found decent plugged in tones using Martin Retro Nickel Acoustic 10s into a Yamaha THR II and Katana. I also have a Taylor guitar which i love. But sometimes you want something different and both to me are fun to play. The big channels disdain for them almost feels like, “if you like these guitars, something is wrong with you” kinda vibe and more gatekeeping. Unfortunately, while not the intent, it can put people off to trying something and enjoying it. So, Im not sure why the big channels need to do that. Thanks for sharing your experience and how you use it. It was refreshing to see. 😊

I'm using my Player Series Acoustasonic right now as my American is in the shop and I just love this guitar. I own Taylors, Takamine, Martins, Gibsons, and I still go to this guitar. thanks! i was wondering about this model. to me it looks totally useless as a live tool, but fun in a studio. the arrangements of the buttons don’t make sense, no hierarchy, all these light indicators make it very unfriendly for beginners. but it has a lot of great features though. it also reminds me of the EHX looper… was it 9000? it looked like a mixing device with lots of track options. but they made a combination of foot switches and delicate sliders for your fingers… ground or table? i don’t know what they thought of. But the Headrush makes everything available for your toes, which is consistent. But the screen… it’s always difficult when you play with sunlight as you mentioned… personally i really love the approach of the infinity looper, they managed to make the most musical looper in the sense of being able to time everything, everything is instant, even the undo/redo (which was the reason to buy it). but alas, it’s price is a bit too high. i wash the infinity looper from pigtronix would also have a version with more than two tracks and input-options for non-guitarists.

@reverenddoctor2 ай бұрын
When running the Acosutasonic, all I have is a little compression built into the channel on my HR Looperboard and that's it. Aside from that, I use an "instrument" eq profile on the channel on my Bose L1 Pro 8. Of all the guitars fender released, I understood the least why they assembled the guitars they did into the Jazzmaster version. Coolest-looking, yet least practical sounds. I might just buy a boss eq pedal, they're like $100 on reverb, and will allow you to dial back the top-end.

I had a BOSE L1 for a few years and I have a friend with one as well. Both have severe issues with an open A on the guitar. No amount of tweaking on the guitar or "notch filtering" have helped. I sold it and got a LD Maui 28 that blows the BOSE outta the water. I added the LD Maui matching 15" sub and now the whole band rocks through it. I'd never go back to BOSE again. I play simple when I do solos. Guitar, DI Box, Tuner and Mic. I have a friend with dual BOSE S1's. I was not impressed with that setup either. It sounded hollow in the outdoor setting he was in. Maybe he didn't have it tweaked right but nevertheless I was not impressed. The LD Maui does everything excellently, including letting my bass player and or my lead guitarists play directly through it when we do duo gigs and that's without the sub. Just looking at the Synapse strictly for solos. Unfortunately no one in my area has one in stock.... sigggghhh

I feel sweetwater pushed me toward BOsE l1 pro 16 due to margin for their benefit. I have every Baggs pedal besides chorus and that’s how I make the Bose sound amazing. However as great as it sounds it feeds back over half volume and it doesn’t seem loud to play with a drummer. I’m returning the BOse because I wanted the Synapse. They recommend at least their di and session pedal with it. The EQ pedal in Baggs helps a lot too. Bose sounds uninteresting without all the pedals, and I’ll miss the bass slap boom that gets projected further by the decay of the reverb i added . The Bose doesn’t have decent reverb other than for vocals. One reviewer said Baggs at full voulume needed mic pointed directly into it. The all horn system makes sense

I prefer the lithium ion battery myself and always make sure it's topped off before gigs......you can also plug in the usb cable if the battery dies during a show .......some people actually put a battery bank in their pocket and plug into that while playing.....

"recording" PA speakers and recreate it for a listening audience is a near impossible task, even for channels that have a budget and audio engineers helping them. Which is why you so rarely have PA-style speakers so rarely demonstrated anyway and why music stores have so much space allotted to demo different PA systems. The only way to really experience them or compare is in-person.
