You said it all. I've got a looperboard sitting on a shelf right now in the hopes that Headrush does anything with it. The system has so much potential. I used Headrush pedalboard products and love them but the looperboard is the 2nd (or sometimes 3rd) best option for everything I want to do and I don't want to compromise in a live performance.

I'm getting ready to swap over to a RC 600 myself. The option of more loops (up to 6 if you want), loop track flexibility with each track individually (where as the HRLB is either or with all tracks), actually useable guitar fx, and the smaller footprint have kind of got me sold. I know that the UI is nowhere near as intuitive but there are way more tutorials on KZbin than with the HRLB.

Great insightful video. I had the Headrush Looperboard for a short time in 2021. I think it's still a great unit. Had since moved to the Rc-600 and did use Loopy Pro for quite a few gigs as well. Like you I'm drawn to the hardware solution though and will be probably moving back to the RC-600 soon. How are you getting on with the RC-600?

I still have my looperboard but live I use Loopy Pro and it can do everything and way more then my looperboard , I will not sell it cause I still love it for the effects and routing and songwritting .

Are you using it with midi? How are you controlling it? There are quite a few affordable apps or pieces of hardware, but I admit I’m drawn to the all-in-one solution.

@@reverenddoctor Yes , To travel light I use Mvave chocolate (2) ( rec)(and an xsonic spark edition to switch song parts and next and previous song . a Spark 2 (usb c to Ipad pro )as soundcard and mini p.a. For bigger gigs : a Nektar Pacer that I also used for my looperboard and an akai Apc mini a spark Live and a subwoofer as p.a . Very easy to setup . The ideal hardwarelooper for me should be a combination of a looperboard/aeros with the loopysoftware .

your wireless midi stuff is that reliable? I'd be interested in a video that just shows a walk through of your rig and how it's set up.

My looperboard is sitting on my shelf for years now. I wanted to like it but it is just not usable in our looper duo because they did not manage to get midi sync working reliable. It's a shame. I am using an akai force with modded firmware and a footcontroller now. Very mighty but also very complicated in live situations.

Bro, preach. One of the things that the Looperboard was light on was midi capability, and it's sorely lacking. I got a midi controller working with it, but I did used to have midi sync with a SPD-SX drum pad and stopped using it partially because it was one more piece of gear to bring, but also because my rig could no longer midi sync with the drum controller.
