Thanks for the video. I am removing ABS from my R3. Does the bike run after you remove the ABS? The only side effect is the codes on the display?

Cool video! I miss that track a lot! Why didn’t you pass that guy? Your movements were smoother than his, so I know it wasn’t skill holding you back. I know and R3 might not have the most power, but if you would have shown him a wheel a few times (safely of course), eventually they will let you by. I have an SV and run into the same thing with liter bikes, I can pull them thru a corner but then they just out muscle me down the straits… Hound them long enough and they let me go..

Would it help with removing some engine braking? I don't like how quickly the bike slows down. Sometimes it's so much so that the rear tire starts to skid in these colder temperatures
@landry5556 ай бұрын
Hi! 👋 You wouldn’t see a big difference in back torque reduction. If you want to reduce the skidding, a slipper clutch would certainly help. Thanks for watching!
@deedle60736 ай бұрын
What you really need to reduce the engine braking is a flash tune from Norton. The hard engine braking on the R3 is due to the injectors cutting out completely when the throttle is closed. Norton has a setting they program to fix this and you also get the performance boost that goes with a flash tune. It's about $355 and you send your ECU in.
@airdreams16 ай бұрын
@deedle6073 wonder if the one from Two Wheel Dino Works would work as well? Have a gift/credit with them.
@deedle60736 ай бұрын
@@airdreams1 Not sure. You would have to ask because I don't see anything about engine braking on their site. The Norton flash specifically lists that they reduced the engine braking.

Hey Landry I got a question, since you cut your intake box on your R3, have you wash your bike? If you did have water gotten anywhere near the intake?
@landry5557 ай бұрын
Hi! Yes, I wash the bike and have done multiple track days in the rain with no issues. I am always very mindful when I wash the bike to make sure I don’t spray the water at an angle that could cause some problems. The bodywork I am using makes it relatively difficult for the water to reach the air box. If I had a more exposed air box, I’d probably epoxy a screen on the side covers of the air box to be on the save side. Thanks for watching and posting your question. Cheers!
