This video describes the complete process of installing an HM Quickshifter Plus SS (Seamless Shift) on a Yamaha YZF-R3. Topics covered: determine the length of the shift rods, adjust the shift rods, how to route the wires, how to test for a reliable grounding spot, how to connect the wires to the ignition coils and the last step will be to test everything and make sure that the quick shifter can intercept the shift signals.
These quick shifters are excellent and very reliable since they don't have any moving parts. They are easy to install, and there is no need to do anything to your ECU. The HM Plus SS supports regular shift mode and GP pattern.
This unit offers adjustability for lever sensitivity so that you can adjust for the specifics of your motorbike, gearbox, and riding style.
Do not forget to order the proper rods when ordering one of these units!

This video is outstanding. I love your attention to detail, thank you for doing such a well thought out video. I am just about to buy this same setup but was a bit leery about the cost versus difficulty of installing. Your video, especially the step by step of hooking into the stock coil was the money scene for me. Looking to put one of these on my daughters race R3. Do you need to upgrade any other parts of the gearbox? Detent spring or clutch ?

Hi! Nothing else is needed. No need to alter the gearbox or purchase a detent spring. In my case, I also installed the "Perfect Shit Arm Kit" from Norton racing, to have perfect alignment of the shift rod, but it's really a matter of personal preference. Salut! Malheureusement HM ne fait pas une version “blipper” pour le R3. Il y a cependant une option pour upshift et downshift pour le R6, R1 ainsi que MT09.

Hi! The R3 do not have a 7th gear!!! It’s simply the motion of going from 6th to the “invisible” 7th gear to see if you can hear the cutoff.

Hi - I haven't had a chance to make a new video about my Sato rearset yet, but I posted 3 pics here landry555.com/photo-gallery/ that will show you my rear brake delete configuration. The OEM reservoir should fit with no modifications (worst case scenario, you might need to trim or extend the hose). Let me know if you want more details.

You put the reservoir up underneath the frame instead the stock mount. Where you mount it underneath the frame.
