Love the videos man!! I’m back in Florida after 34 years of being in the northeast ( I was 12 when I moved from Sarasota!). I’ve got a lot of catching up to do with sailing and beach life but cayo costa has been my go to spot since I found it. I’ve been kayaking from bokelia.. I’d love to see the sailing set up you have so if you are in ft Myers and have a little time let me know!! What do you use for capturing your underwater videos?

What is your draft? Can a 5ft sailboat get up the crystal river from Fort Myers, via offshore trip?
@HellavaLifeSailing6 жыл бұрын
Escape from LA great movie. On all three of our boats the draft was always under 4’. Crystal river in about 280 miles north of Ft Myers. You can do most of the trip “inside” or gulf coast ICW. The only part that would be considered outside would be Anclote Key to Crystal River entrance. We ran around leaving CR and so has a friend of ours. He drew 5’ 6” and bumped most everytime we would come or go. Just make sure you approach on an incoming tide and are updated on tow boat if you are so inclined.
