Excellent video! I recently found your channel because I'm sitting on a finished manuscript that I wrote while I was an elementary school teacher a couple of years ago. The timing is opening up in my life where I can dedicate all my focus to making the publication of these stories a reality; however, I want to make sure I do it the right way. Thank you for laying out all the arguments for both routes, and I'm convinced self-publishing is the way forward for me. My question for you is about pricing: I had an illustrator draw pictures for all the stories in my book. What does a normal split in royalties between writer and illustrator look like?

Appreciate your videos! I have a more unique issue. I just self-printed a kid’s board book that is a cookbook. And had an ebook created as well. Is there a way to link the Amazon KDP ebook version to a FBA account that will sell the hardcopy? How can I sell board book version along with ebook version on same page/platform or link? Thanks!!

Hi Evie, I watched your video the same day I hired a company to convert my book to eBook. They were gracious to refund the $800. I used your tip to make all pages the same size and it looks amazing. HERE IS MY QUESTION/PROBLEM AND IT'S HOLDING ME BACK. If my reader selects Landscape, it looks great. If my reader selects Portrait it is microscopic. If I select Landscape/Double image for my book, is this what will automatically show for my customer? Or will they have to set their e-Reader to landscape?
