Please don't refer to dyno numbers and compare ANY other dyno numbers. That is not how a dyno works. A dyno shows a baseline vs after tune to show actual gains. That is how a dyno is used. Not to compare numbers to random other cars.

So you mean that all the tuners out there (EQT, 034 motorsport, IE, APR, unitronics) are a bit optimistic with their dyno result?
@boostdynamictuningАй бұрын
100%. I'm not saying I'm right with everything I say,but tell me this. If everyone dyno tunes cars, why are they ALL posting crank horsepower? Because with crank horsepower, you are taking your number and adding 15%-25, which makes zero sense. Simply, everyone should be using a hub dyno as hubs are always going to read very similar numbers. That's why manufacturers use hub dynos. It's a marketing tactic, and I'm here to spread good info. Not fake my numbers, so you guys give me your money. I make people happy and enjoy their car, not scam people. View this message how you want, but do your research on crank horse power vs hub dyno numbers. Only way to truly get crank numbers which doesn't even matter as you have driveline loss... is to remove the engine and install in a dyno room. Which means applying a load which will never be correct. As you could simply leave drive line attached and make your tuning adjustments. Idk... seems very plain as day to me. I can back this up with schooling as well.

Those numbers look quite low for stage 2. On Dynapack hub dyno my MK7 GTI with the EQT stage 1 93 tune made 295hp and 368lb at the wheels with only an mst turbo inlet, drop-in afe air filter and ngk ruthenium plugs gapped at 0.024. Boost peaked at 27.6 psi.
@boostdynamictuningАй бұрын
I don't know what you're getting at here? There's no fooling around or manipulation That's the straight faqs. STOP looking at numbers. You and everybody else have been told 1000 times numbers me nothing. It's all about stock vs final numbers. Which sorry to hurt feelings we beat eqt and Ie. While keeping it safe and we have smoother drive characteristics. I've had people switch and tell me it's night and day. Faqs are faqs.
@krez060Ай бұрын
@@boostdynamictuning My stock figures were 222hp and 278lb at the wheels, so very similar to the one in your video on stock. @krez060 I don't think you're getting the point. Are you a scientist? If not, this is how a project works. Baseline x3 to verify it's the same srock numbers and tuned nunbers. Same car, same day, different tunes comparison is the project. We did our pulls swapping ecu tunes as video shows. That's how you compare tunes. Not... oh this car made this number kn this dyno. Means nothing if its not the same car same dyno, same day. Which I clearly did. So again, what are you getting at? I beat IE and of story. I'll do it every day in any condition. Come in person, let me show you.

More simply explained (I hope): No suction = Bad PCV, why? System stuck wide open. Lots of suction(struggle to pull oil cap off) = Bad PCV, Why? System stuck in closed position. Reasonable suction: Good PCV, Why? Crankcase needs a bit (not too much, not too little) Finally : if you changed the PCV and there is still too much suction - this would be due to the piping coming from your PCV being blocked - change the pipes!
