Thank you some great suggestions, I do like the kitchen trolley idea. I have a piece of particle board on one of the ikea metal trolleys as my extended desk which is where my paint palette sits. Thanks again for sharing. 😊

I’m just beginning my artistic journey, but I also find that most of the time I would rather add a couple elements to five pages than get a whole page done from start to finish. Thanks for validating my erratic process 😂 a lot of artists on this platform portray their work as made all-in-one-go
@LauraHornArt26 күн бұрын
Ah, I totally get it! Creating doesn’t have to be all-in-one-go, and sometimes those layered, evolving pages turn out to be the most interesting. Embrace that “erratic process”-it’s uniquely yours 😊🎨

I just had this appear on my YT screen today. But I can't find any link to part one - or any other part of it come to that. I've been enjoying your videos recently and subscribed yesterday. I've also downloaded the supplies list for this {still looking for part one} - nothing there either. By the way I envy you Sibella Court's "Gypsy" I have 3 or 4 of her books but not that one.

I've managed to find the other days of this challenge now, but you might want to add links to them as day 4 was particularly hard to find for some reason. Some people less stubborn than me might just give up. Lol!

Thanks for the feedback! I'll take a look at adding those details. So happy you found the videos you needed 😊

Just beginning my watercolour journey and this has encouraged me to be more adventurous and go beyond just using a brush to get good textures into my paintings. Thank you. I can see lots of exploration coming up.

And as for baby wipes, aren’t they a synthetic, non dissolving fabric? I tear up old towels, and keep them damp. One for hand wiping, and one for cleaning brushes,metic.
@LauraHornArtАй бұрын
That's a wonderful idea!

All my paints are tubes, usually Montmartre brand, or a little bit more expensive paint. I would never be able to afford any Golden paints, especially in that size. I don’t knower what the method might be, if at all, with my cheaper paints. Some of us are low income, I am a disabled pensioner, so we have to make do when it comes to most art supplies.
@LauraHornArtАй бұрын
I highly recommend using whatever you have on hand! Many artists use a variety of different quality paints and have the results. 😊🩷
@FranziskaRuf-xm9kl13 күн бұрын
Clear gesso is perfect and a little bit cheaper and you can even make your own gesso. Good luck.😊
