The Band is the real Star of the music . These artists could back up any singer and make them a Rock Star. Kudos

IMAGINE a Tour with The Stray Cats (or Brian Setzer Orchestra), Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, and some of those Legendary CROONERS and 'Martini Performers' from Louie Prima's Era? Naturally, it should feature a LICENSED PATIO with Free Soft Drinks for Designated Drivers! With some Sultry Séductive Women Singers ala Julie London 'Sway' Style Artists! ANY THOUGHTS? Seriously! For Summer Festival Fun Times!!! 😂 ❤
@jeffreybarkin3177Ай бұрын
Naturally, We MUST Feature some Sultry Ladies, Singers like AWESOME Performers Too! But we can SURELY MODERNIZE The Talent! Perhaps Artists like Alison Sudol, Jewel, Dala Girls, Molly Johnson, Diana Krall, k.d. lang, Jane Siberry, Serena Ryder, and Amy Sky... But with that "Julie London Sway" Sound? Any Thoughts? CURIOUS...
@jeffreybarkin3177Ай бұрын
OK... Add Sultry Women REGIONALLY as There's SO MANY HOT TALENT that deserve more ATTENTION! 😂 ❤

Great video! Note for your Continuity Editor: what happened to the jerry can? Colin should be walking with it in hand (whenever it has the car in the BG as we were lead to expect in the early scenes or it could be on the ground in the BG during the band scenes.

I first got turned on and then turned out when this song was used in a Hyundai Senada commercial in the 90s! EVERY TIME it came on I would BLAST my tv to the point that I blew a speaker! EVERYTHING about this song is PERFECT!!! The “pocket”, the “attitude”, the “emotion”, the vocals, the band, and Lord knows Miss Mavis Staples!!! This song HITS on ALL CYLINDERS!!!

I saw you play at Lulu's in Ontario and was at front of stage, wondering why you wouldn't look down at all....THEN girl beside me says "I'm his favorite fan", and I knew, oh Lord really? Lol A stalker? Man she ruined shit bc I think you probably knew of this sick chick. Oh well, you were great regardless 😊 Don't know why you stopped with voice like that. Hope you and yours are well 👋

I mean it’s you so it’s lovely. But it lacks what I’ve always thought was your bite/edge. Guit and Voc. Not even a try for grit. Even quiet angst. Jx

I had a 67 Mustang fastback when I was 16. It needed work. I only ever drove it around the block a few times when my parents were not home. I sold it for $1100 losing much more than that invested. I never wanted to but had to make my way. When I see one a tear rolls down my cheek like the native man in the pollution commercial from the 70s. A CP train goes by. My family got sick of my saying I never should have quit the railway as my career was not so good. Colin you bastard you are making me feel the blues you sing. I am surprised the all of the women who broke my heart and made me cry were not in the video too.

Limelight is every bit as good as Into the Mystic as far as songwriting goes. BUT - your version of Into The Mystic is THE BEST version ever recorded. Van is fine, but your take is much better.

I think I’ve seen Colin about 8 times, the first time being at Dr. Rockets in London, Ont. When I lived there for a few years. What a treat to see that rambunctious and talented young man at the start of his career. I feel very blessed to have seen him at the beginning. He was and is my favourite musician and have introduced a lot of people to his music over the years! Thank you Colin for all that you have shared with the world and still are!! Hopefully get to see you at the Grey Eagle here in Alberta in the fall
