This is the episode i was most excited to see...although they are all great. One of the finest builders in the world is laravee . I had the good fortune to play one custom built in the late 70s....i never forgot it. If only i could make one sound like collin does

I am so glad I found this channel, Love your music Colin. Not sure how many times I have seen you, but the memorable time was in Lindsay Ont. and you came off the stage and walked up the theater isle and sat in the empty seat beside me. Can you imagine that someone not coming to see you perform. Luck me. Thanks for doing what you do and putting it out there for us to see.

Nice video...yeah, a D-18, not D-28...a 1950 CF-100 is on its way from Ohio from the original owner (1949 bought) and granddaughter of Emmett W. Lundy, a bluegrass legend who recorded his songs for the Lomax family in 1951....including Emmett and her dad together....great job! Oh, and yeah got a '46 J-45 and a 2001 Larrivee OM-9 Koa.....thanks for your videos!

Thank you for doing these. I've really enjoyed this series, the stories behind each guitar and learning your perspective on how each guitar has different sounds and tones.

Hey Colin. That Martin looks like a D-18. Reason being that it has Mahogany back and sides and black binding. It would be evident by the model number being stamped inside the guitar on its heel block. The D-28 models were Rosewood back and sides and white body binding. In any case it's all irrelevant compared to the great stories these guitars could tell. Lovely guitars. I love the Larivee's too. I'm really enjoying these On The Couch episodes. Sure looking forward to more. Cheers!

@@ColinJamesMusic I was watching your Big Ticket concert from 1991 in Sudbury last night. What a great show man! Loved your playing and tone on that one. That bridge middle position and whatever amp you were plugged into sounded sweet! I remember watching that when it originally aired. Keep the vids coming! Take care
