I love the model, always hated the building. After such a concrete nightmare it would be evil to recommend another but my mind was taken to 'New Sky Building 3' in Shinjuku. What is it with Tokyo and hideous concrete hellscape buildings?

@@thewheezingdead I think I just like things that are a bit weird. Brings a nice twist to my day when I see it. Now THAT’S a good recommendation! I don’t think I’ve seen it before. Reminds me of the Nakagin Capsule Tower in some way combined with the Kowloon Walled City 😮

@@captkuso Pretty sure New Sky Building 3 and Nakagin Capsule Tower are the same architect. I like some of the weird buildings in Tokyo, I worked in the Fuji Broadcasting Centre for a while, and in my first stint in Tokyo would pass the Yasuyo Building everyday and I love them both are the two that spring to mind.

@@thewheezingdead The Yasuyo building is actually already on my list of places to check out! Unsure if it would be an entertaining build though 🤔 Idk even the more mundane stuff I like quite a lot. I was a Tesco home delivery driver for a while in the UK, and the number of identical housing estates I went to was mind numbing; walking down the street here and every home being unique and reflecting its owner in some way feels like paradise to me next to that.

@@captkuso I get it completely. I'm just a country boy at heart, despite having moved to Tokyo twice and Fukuoka. The city's and the concrete just take the life from me. If I was heading back to Japan I'd live to be back at the foot of Mount Izuna again. Nagano feels like home in Japan to me.

So when I was younger I was a really angry person. Not really directed at anything, just like the world, and I think there's a lot of people, especially younger men out there like that. And unfortunately with social media and stuff rewarding interaction, it's turned out that a really good way to make money online is by making people angry at something. So now you have influencers trying to take advantage of those people by directing all their anger towards whatever it is that week in a bid to stay in the algorithm so that they can make money from ad revenue or their discord that they say will teach you to be a real man or whatever it is they're selling. I think it was a dumb move by the person running the Godot twitter to engage with that ecosystem, because people acting in bad faith will find a way to be mad whatever you say, it's their job to be mad. But I can't fault what Godot were trying to say in any way. Like, if you're someone that's reading this thinking that those guys are looking out for you, just try and look at what it is they're selling, because they're not doing it to be your friend. Personally I found that for making stuff for myself was way more rewarding than being mad at what other people were doing.

Dope work! I'll give you a tip for IK, if you ever decide to learn it (Depends if you feel ready to make more "humanoid" models with Blender): Pay attention to the rotation of the bones, especially for the hands. That helps when you want your hands to rotate like the feet. BTW, I mostly make my 3D characters in low poly, so I don't really combine objects who aren't weapons or things like that.

I believe the ban logic here is going to be because a software based step counter is not a true 1:1, software "steps" are determined based off of what that software reads, which is always an approximation based on indirect input. Actual steps can't be verified from the client perspective either. Mouse clickers on the bottom of the shoes through teamviewer mightve been acceptable since those are true direct inputs.
@JackHugeman

1:1 rule isn't a real thing, and hasn't been one for at least a decade. they can ban for 1:1 things when they feel like it.

Even if I feel your sprite work could have some improvement (+ some stuff I'm not a big fan off. Like, I'm more of limiting my pallets when I do my pixel art these days), I can't deny you do quite a nice work overall. Especially with those 3d models. I salute your commitement for those projects (especially the Smash TV PSVita port or the Spirited Away diorama) [Becomes 879th sub, after all this time]

@@alexandreturcotte6411 I’ll absolutely confess to my pixel art being one of many weak points (I’m actually planning a video where I focus solely on trying to improve it in a little while), but if I waited until I felt like I had mastered every element of what I do to start making videos I would never do anything I guess 😅 I mostly treat each video as an opportunity to learn something new. Thank you for the support, hopefully I’ll keep improving ☺️
