I am 10 years in and my length is 30 inches. No breakage, just beautiful long healthy sister locks 1. I am very stringent about retightening ie every 4 weeks, no exception. 2. Leave the locks alone, don’t be playing in the hair 3. Eat healthy nutritious food, no sugar 4. Reduce stress 5. Supplements are important, general supplements 6. oil scalp sparingly, it’s really unnecessary if you are eating clean 6 enjoy the process

Hi,Nina i know this is a old post but, i am 9 months in my journey and I have 4c hair thick and a little coarse. My hair and scalp always been on the dry side. But been using the sisters loc shampoo and it is drying out my hair really bad and making my ends brittle and sheds feel like its not growning eith because of the dryness I need something natural with a tiny bit of moisturizer hopefully the carols daughter works. I tried telling my consultant but she still say I use that you know your hair and what it likes. Dislike the sisterloc shampoo.

I’m a 4c girly, 7 weeks loc’d and my hair is doing so well. They do marry at the roots a lot but whew this is so much better than dealing with my loose natural 4c hair that used to mat up after 2 days even in a ponytail lol

I totally understand the drama about retwisting your own locs. I become so frustrated and hot and bothered and no tutorial, no matter how great, can help me negotiate my own hair. How long have I had my locs, I hear you cry? Oh, only 17 years!!!! I have thinning and have had to cut them from buttocks length to neck length three times. But....and here's the real thing.....I absolutely love my locs - I just wish I wasn't so apprehensive about them come wash day😢

I did my own sister locs and have no grid so my locs are growing at different rates and sizes I have yet to see someone with free parting should I start over?
