Can't believe you can see these deer in these wide open areas in broad daylight. In the central UP of Michigan where we hunt, you would be lucky to dee a doe come out in day time let alone nice buck ! Crazy

Love the hunting videos and the family aspect of the hunt. Great job and beautiful deer. I was wondering which camera you are using for the long distance the footage came out great. I have some long distance shots I sometimes take and would like more clarity in the videos i take.

Are you talking about the second one that came in? I really couldn't tell down in the tree until we got back and watched it on video. I was kind of surprised he passed on it. But as he says "you can't shoot big deer if you don't let the medium deer pass and you can't shoot really big deer if you don't let the big deer pass."

Like your videos very much I’ve grown up in Maine and didn’t take advantage of the outdoor sports wish I would have been a lot more knowledgeable about the fishing available and places to hunt
@PineStateHunter6 ай бұрын
It's much easier than it used to be. Used to take days or weeks to learn an area, now with google maps it only takes a few minutes to get to know an area. Lake survey maps only take a minute to look up. They are out dated but still give you an idea of what fish are there. Spend a little time googling and you will be well on your way. Thanks for watching.

where is this pond? i’m in maine right now on Rangeley lake and fishing isn’t great. tried looking for good lakes but i don’t know any.
@PineStateHunter6 ай бұрын
Sorry, we give out locations. If you are in the Rangeley area, Mooselookmeguntic has salmon and trout. Also Lac Aziscohos has both trout and salmon. If you are looking for smaller ponds for trout, Sandy river ponds or Haley might be an potion. Hope that helps.
@partridgepimp33636 ай бұрын
Your not kidding about big browns at night. I used to go out April first at midnight for opening day Maine trout season for twenty plus years. I always caught my biggest browns before daylight. Once the sun came up and people started showing up I would go get breakfast. Then I would go troll for salmon.
@partridgepimp33636 ай бұрын
Winnipesaukee smelt, or red gray ghost for trolling for salmon. ( sometimes with a small half copper/ silver dodger in front of them). The DB smelt in silver with black and purple stripe on it has been very good for me for hard tackle. I’ve had good luck on copper or black if the silver is not working. Great video guys. Nothing like getting outdoors with friends and family👍

Tell us where you are and what you are using for bait. How deep? How fast? Watching you pull in fish is OK, but how are you doing it a NDwhere???? Thanks.
@PineStateHunter8 ай бұрын
We don't give out locations that we fish. We were using monkey puke spoons trailing a snell hook with worms. The fish seemed to be hanging in about 20' ft of water. We were trolling about 1.0 mph, ( keeping the spoons just off bottom.) Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.

I have a pond like that in Ontario Canada that produces brookies just that size, 1-4lbs, and they actually look the same too, same dimensions and colours, and not all specs look like that. I might have to go NOW, actually a week. Looks like good times, good day!
