These guys capture the competitive fun of salmon fishing in Maine. I appreciate the simple use of dodgers, smelts and also an occasional lead line to get deeper. It is great to see a fishing show that isn't showing off a $60,000+ boat with an over reliance on electronics but instead focuses on the real Maine experience. May ice out be soon!

You must be somewhere 'up nawth' because down here in southern Maine the lakes are all 48 - 52 degrees. :)

Good catch, We traveled about 100 miles north of where we had been fishing.

Like to filet a couple of those and try em in a slow smoker. I bet they would be good. I'm not to crazy about LL salmon, togue, or big brookies, though a big brook trout might be good smoked.

We will keep a fish or 2 every once in a while but we put most of them back. Thanks for watching.

I just tried fishing for salmon in Maine but I'm guessing it's too late. What's there to catch when you're fishing in June or July? I'm on shore.
@PineStateHunter3 жыл бұрын
Fishing from shore is tough once the water warms up. You could try for brook trout first thing in the morning or just before dark. Might still be able to catch salmon and trout in the rivers around Moosehead or the grand lakes, East and West. Good luck to you.
