Batman is relatable to anyone who has lost a parent or parents, especially at a young age. Something that stays with you your whole life. These animated series helped me through a hard time for me as a child

Welcome to the animated series that literally started it all. Sure, there were animation so fcomic genres before this. And, you should definitely give the Adam West Batman from teh 70s a try. But, without this animated series, Batman would never have taken off, and led to Superman the Animated Series, which then gave us the Justice League film, which led to the Justice League animated series, and then in the evolution in the JLA. Not to mention the Teen Titans spins off, Batman Beyond, and Static X, along with all the Batman animation remakes. The way they portrayed the villains in this series, I mean, I believe the Heart of Ice episodes won an award. You are seriously in for an amazing treat. I can't wait for your reaction to this series.

I hate how they have it out of order than they actually aired it for the first time in real life.

It starts out a little rough but it becomes really amazing later on-especially if you watch the other shows connected to this universe like superman the animated series and the Justice League the animated series. Edit: this is my favorite interpretation of batman. The creators took everything that is good from multiple iterations of the character and put it into this one batman. I also like how humanized this batman is because most modern day versions of Batman just focus on the bat and not Bruce Wayne.

Also, Both Batman and Catwoman have amazing chemistry even though they are on opposite sides of the Law. Also, Kevin Conroy is one of the best actors that play as Batman. It's a pretty long series and a very big commitment, but I guess you are really enjoying watching DC and if you are having a good time, well, go for it! I don't think I ever watched that, if I did I never finished and it was only a couple of episodes, but if you're going to watch, I might as well do the same. Great reaction! DCAU: Batman: The Animated Series Batman: Mask of the Phantasm - Film Superman: The Animated Series The New Batman Adventures - Continuation of Batman: The Animated Series Batman Beyond Static Shock Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero - Film Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker - Film Justice League Justice League Unlimited - Continuation of Justice League Context: The DCAU really kicked off with Batman: The Animated Series (BTAS), which was such a hit that WB approached the creators to make a Superman show. That’s how the connected DC universe came about. Then we got The New Batman Adventures, which picked up where BTAS left off but with a new art style more in line with the Superman series, also aired alongside Superman Season 2. After that, Batman Beyond jumped us into the far future, followed by Static Shock, which aired alongside all three shows. We also got a standalone Batman Beyond movie, then Justice League series came in and finally brought the whole team together, followed by Justice League Unlimited. These shows were all airing around the same time, so there were a lot of fun crossover episodes. But yeah, the DCAU is definitely the most iconic DC animated universe, with all the development and world-building that came from all these shows. It's what the could've gotten in live action in WB didn't' rush a shared universe for the movies.

The reason this series reminds you so much of Mask of the Phantasm is because that film was a spin-off from Batman: The Animated Series. Not only is it part of the same continuity as the series, but it also shares the same art direction, creatives, voice actors, and more. The events of Mask of the Phantasm are canonical to the series, so it gives viewers a glimpse into the origin story and first love of this version of Batman. Hopefully you check out the Superman: Animated Series as well, first three episodes cover his origin which is something you haven't explored yet. Could also watch Superman (1978) as well for his origin story.
