Wow. I am blown away by this presentation. I was an insecure 59 year old on SS in January 2018 when I started buying Bitcoin/crypto. Everyone though I was irrational. Most still do. I put my income in every month and watched the value drop each month but for some reason really believed in Bitcoin and alt coins/blockchain even though I don't totally understand. Finally, the crypto market started turning around and I am astonished at the value of my crypto currency portfolio today. I engaged in active trading and managed to grow a nest egg of around 2.3B'tc to a decent 27B'tc....At the heart of this evolution is Linda Wilburn, whose deep understanding of both cryptocurrency and traditional trading has been instrumental. Her holistic approach to investment and commitment to staying abreast of market trends make her an invaluable ally in navigating this new era in cryptocurrency investment.

why so complicated to modify JL with a short put? R:R is 1:4 as I can see... why not just do a Bull Put Spread?
@optionswithdavis22 сағат бұрын
You mean like this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ooKUlnufq76SmsUsi=4YigI1eoZSDd6ZYm It's just a different strategy. How you use each strategy depends on your view and preference.
@acid7420 сағат бұрын
@@optionswithdavis i understand. just saying that JL originally is a 3 legged strategy. by adding fourth leg to cap the loss complicates it. easier to just do put spread. anyway, love your videos still.
@optionswithdavis19 сағат бұрын
This is meant for prople who don't have a big enough capital to put on a JL on SPY. Adding the 4th leg reduces the BP required to put on the trade. Just like how not everyone can put on a short put and so go with the put spread.
@drewsanborne23 сағат бұрын
Thanks great explanation. What do you think about setting a stop loss if price should go down by a predetermined absolute amount, say, $100? Of course given time the trade off might be price moves up into the profit zone again. Conversely, if price goes up I do not wait till 50% POP but sooner? Basically very low risk tolerance so cut loss faster and willing to take (less) profits early and just closing and putting out more frequent trades on SPY.

Im curious on your thoughts, why would this strategy for be better than say an ES, IC 20 delta on both sides 100 wide. It appears the BP is much lower on the ES/IC and P/L is much nicer with a similar risk profile and POP. It also appears the max loss on the SPY idea is about 3-4 times ?
@optionswithdavis2 күн бұрын
No "better", only trade-offs. They both are different strategies. IC has risk to both sides with a higher premium but lower PoP. This has only risk to one side with a lower premium but higher PoP. Which you use depends on your view. And the BP on ES doesn't necessarily reflect the potential max risk on the trade since futures uses SPAN margin.
@raysteel63172 күн бұрын
@@optionswithdavis Thanks, Im going to paper trade both ideas. Im going to exit either trade at either 21 DTE or 50% of the SPY profit target. As example the SPY shows lets say 300 max profit while the ES shows 1100, Im rounding on both examples. So I will close the trades at a profit of $150. I will not adjust or roll out, I will leave as is. I will re enter either trade at DTE or profit target. I will do this for 3 months lets say. I will try to remember to get back to you and let you know how I did.

I’ve found that rolling is important. On a Tuesday or Wednesday, even if in the money, you can usually roll for credit. For really good premium. And layering in, many strikes, many expiration dates, and always keep powder dry.
