For some reason my images are infinite in length on my keyframe editor so I can't trim them. Is there a setting that I can change to fix that? I tried adjusting the global in and out and that didn't work either. If you know the problem that would be great.

Your Enhlsh is great, but one little tip: I know it seems natural to prononce PURCHASE as "PUR-CHAYS", but languages are not consistent, and wit this word the pronunciation is PUR-CHESS, and PURCHASED is pronounced PUR-CHEST.

Can I do this on a 3d image plane?
@VFXstudy
@VFXstudy 22 күн бұрын
@SpartanJoe193 you can add materials to an image plain as well. But typically you use image planes to place 2d images in 3D so in most cases you just want the image to act as a diffuse texture - but you could change it.

@VFXstudy
@VFXstudy 26 күн бұрын
Think about High-End Gaming Computer. I don't really have all the comparisons. Puget Systems sometimes does tests for Resolve. Though Fusion is always tricky since there are so different scenarios that you could test. Also don't forget about RAM. The more you have the more frames you can cache in memory while working.

How do you change the key binding to rename nodes in fusion? I can't find it in the keyboard controls and F2 is not very convenient with my keyboard.
@VFXstudy
@VFXstudy 26 күн бұрын
Don't think you can. Unfortunately Fusion Keyboard Shortcuts are not integrated into the Resolve Keyboardshortcut menu. I think there's a more tacky hack ... check the WSL forum, I think something was discussed some time ago. Alternatively you could remap the shortcut externally with another keyboard shortcut software like autohotkey under windows.

Thanks for this amazing tutorial, is there any way to implement the same for clips where camera is moving & the subject is stationary & there is no source which has clean frame to clone from? In my case I am trying to clean a dirty glass window which has ugly marks on glass & camera is moving. I probably need frame by frame clone tool kind of this within Fusion I guess.
@VFXstudy
@VFXstudy 26 күн бұрын
Generally it shouldn't matter if the source or the camera is moving. The tracker will not see a difference. Not having any place to clone from would indeed be difficult. Sometimes you need more advanced paint techniques beyond clone. Like actual painting with brushes. If you can do it on a single frame and take it into photoshop or similar it might help. Really going frame by frame usually gets messy ...

How do you roughen the eges of any given mask, lets I draw a shape of a mask by hand, but I want to apply a rough edge to it? which nodes can do that? what is the solution?
@VFXstudy
@VFXstudy 26 күн бұрын
Rough? Like fuzzy or so? Guess you could work with some distort effects or so with some noise, or a ripple fx or so, but not entirely sure what you want to get here. You're not talking about keying here, or are you?

what if i convert like from srgb to linear, tweak color in linear and after that convert liner to srgb, it that will work better than only in srgb color space, and the premise is that with some png sequences already
@VFXstudy
@VFXstudy 26 күн бұрын
You can do that, but honestly if color operations are all you do, I don't see the point of the conversion. Often using curves etc. get's somewhat more difficult with the condensed shadows in linear space.

Yes, elasticity over 1 is unrealistic and doesn't match physics, but since you'll be reversing this to have the particles end where you want, in this case I believe you would want the elasticity to be above 1 (gaining momentum as they bounce), so when you reverse it they'll appear to be losing energy (like in real life).

Since v19 you have the AI based point tracker in Studio, which in many cases is simpler to use and sometimes works better, but not always. If it gets confused going back to the classical point tracker that I use here should do fine. No, that's the same in the free version and in the studio version.
