Mountain bikes should not be in cyclocross races
@TheCoeliacCyclist
@TheCoeliacCyclist 3 күн бұрын
Not allowed in UCI races but are in local races. It's sometimes a good way for people to start in cyclocross if they can't afford another bike. Most of the races it is slower on an MTB so you wouldn't want to ride them. This year two races it favoured MTB's which is unfortunate. I don't agree with people who ride their MTB instead of their CX bike. Perhaps MTB's shouldn't get league points? Something to think about I guess, but to be honest it doesn't affect me as I'm not running near the front and enjoy the racing.

Ride more trails more often... It's all about practice! A great bit of advice I was given by a fast MTB racer was this.... Find a short loop section that is fairly flat and ride it slowly, without using your brakes... Gradually increase your speed and learn to brake but as little as possible... This builds your confidence in corners and how to carry speed without giving any away unnecessarily 😉👍🏼 Best of all... Have fun every time you ride 👍🏼
