Thanks Sean, hopefully we will have plenty of battles next year when I move up the VET50's in cross. (I know I don't look old enough 😆)

Ride more trails more often... It's all about practice! A great bit of advice I was given by a fast MTB racer was this.... Find a short loop section that is fairly flat and ride it slowly, without using your brakes... Gradually increase your speed and learn to brake but as little as possible... This builds your confidence in corners and how to carry speed without giving any away unnecessarily 😉👍🏼 Best of all... Have fun every time you ride 👍🏼

Thanks for the tips! I definitely need to be carrying more speed to save on efforts. Plenty of practice planned over winter.

Practise practise practise! If Shouldham wasn’t too far to travel then that race loop will be ridable all winter.

Thanks Ross, I think I will be spending a lot of time around Tunstall if the weather allows. If not then I will be travelling up to Brandon. Like you say I just need to put the time in.

Thanks Stu I think there were 300 riders entered across the 3 races but most of them were in the 1.5hr race I was in.
