Built the engine myself, 100% it’s a 428. To be exact, it’s a 428 Police Interceptor, C scratch block, bored over .040.

If it works its not wrong.Good job! My uncle had a two cylinder john Deer. They are torque monsters. His son , my cousin has it now, but he lets it sit too much and wont keep it running.

You should have opened up them bearing oil holes a little to allow for more flow.being offset like that is restricting flow.

Great job mate now get you some head lites on it so you can go out pulling a wagon for some hay rides and fun stuff with this beauty it loves working popping and puffing around the rhubarb make sure you wire it were you have a extra wire going back to the lites on wagon there's a lot of fun waiting to happen if she's running good

Thanks for taking the time to watch! Go get one…they are amazingly simple machines but a lot of fun to work on. It’s amazing how many parts are available…you can basically build a new tractor.

Btw, Those things they put on the front axles aren’t steps, those are your brakes!🤣 But seriously kid if you’re gonna use it to bush hog or use the PTO for anything please do yourself a favor and go down to tractor supply and get what’s called an overrun clutch and put that on that PTO output shaft you have because if you put a bush hog behind it that tractor will push you over a cliff or down into a ditch or whatever The momentum that Bushhog turning, they were well known for that and they can hurt you really bad or even kill you. But I have two of them and I love them both! The engine sounds good! 60 pounds of compression run that engine all day long!

@@pylescustomzgarage if that was the case it wouldn't need so many revolutions to Fire up. All of my car's and trucks fire up just as fast as EFI cars. On these old Ford's bring the #1 piston to TDC on the Compression stroke, point the rotor directly at terminal #1 on your distributor cap with the vacuum advance distributor disconnected. Then test it out by starting it up a few times. Reconnect vacuum to your distributor and close the hood. The engine should Fire up and run with very few Revolutions of the motor. Mine fire up right away within 1 revolution of the motor.

Just bought an 85 f150. Guy had taken it completely apart down to the frame, purchased close to $10,000 in new parts for it and then realized he couldn’t put it back together. Going to be a fun project

I did the same thing with a 83 f150. Tore it down to frame and unlike your guy. I put it back together again. Runs and drives like new.
