Got into this wonderful hobby in the late 70s for many years, then stopped when adulthood began taking over life. Now in my mid 50s I'm about to begin certification for high powered rocketry. My first kit ever in the 70s was the Moonraker. Now I am beginning a scaled-up Moonraker over 6 feet tall. Hope to do this for many, many more years!

Does this offer more wind protection?
@telerover4 ай бұрын
Yes. The screen is moved forward of the handlebars, giving a chance for the airflow to rise over your head. The screens attached to the stock headlight cowling are a waste of time. I tried it.

@@telerover Glad to hear that. The wind beating me up on the 690 gets tiring quick. Thank you for your amazing vids. They have helped me a lot with my bike, and of course fun to watch! Wish you all the best!

Camped beside this runway Dec 1975 at the water's edge. We were headed down to San Blas in the Nyarit for Xmas. The movie bldg sets were still in good condition. The runway asphalt was a deep black with no cracks. The town had not yet encroached into this area. There were no residences around. The water sparkled in the moonlight on a still night. The tall spire peak was across the bay. Go Yosarion !

How long was the sand section?
@telerover8 ай бұрын
It was very short, mostly in the arroyos. Just point and blast. keep your front end light. I had an extra 50 pounds (my dog) which made it heavy. You'll be okay.

you should set that 18mm static sag with no gear on it at all (you have your luggage on). You then put all the gear and you on it and it should be that 70-80mm sag if your spring is the right size.

Wow. I visited Rocky Point in 1989. I remember dirt roads. Kids scrambling to wash our windows for pocket change. A case of Corona for $5. Bought 10 lbs of rock shrimp right off the boat for $3. Slept on the beach and traded American bottled water with vendors for food and clothes. One of the best trips of my life! Cant wait to relocate to Mexico next year.

Its a bummer dogs dont enjoy the same life/health span as their humans tend to ...I am on my 5th german shepherd and I think 9th dog ....never know though I am getting old and pretty beat up so maybe this latest dog will outlast me for a change just to clarify my dogs greatly overlap typically at least having two at one time and for a while even had 4 at one a time! ...

NOBODY is telling what state this is in -- ahahahahaha -- Ouray, Colorado, I am guessing --- BUT thXxx for the show no matter where's its at -- ahahahaha -- and next time -- turn the camera up a bit to see the sights -- we don't need to see the road or the front end of your bike -- and turn your head more so we can see the mountain sides better -- ahahahahahaa

Probably a long shot but you wouldn't happen to still have a copy of your installation instructions would you? After four+ months of waiting I finally received my Nomad Rally Tower but there are no instructions with it. When I emailed Nomad-ADV they auto replied with a "were away until June 16th". Not cool. Anyway, loved your series, very helpful. Just need some guidance to put this puzzle together.

Humbly asking, is the little black O-ring suppose to place under the brown shaft seal? I thought it supposed go seat under the spacer within its groove by the diagram. I am quiet confused now on where should I put it.

This was painful to watch. You went to the trouble of editing the fact that you got the wrong part and were using the wrong instructions but still want to drag people through the process of 'figuring it out'.
