Thx for the nice video! My wife an i did our third roadtrip by car in 2019 on the west of the USA, we fell in love with this magnificent country and nature. As a biker for over 45 years i hope to do it again by motorcycle one day with my sons. Happy trails and greetings from Belgium 😎

I have been led to believe that there are also great places to ride in Belgium and the surrounding areas? I hope to ride in your neck of the woods someday. Take you for your kind comments!

I have a few questions and ridiculous ideas; how does it work out around your shop? I ask because I'm considering a "tool station" with a 5in vise in the center with horizontal hammer racks on each side and a pliers/tongs rack on the back. But, I'm concerned with access to the vise with all the hand tools there. Do you feel your levels are correct? And, do the various tool functions work well in those positions, related to one another? Now, for the ridiculous suggestions: filling it with sand will deaden the vibration moving through the stand from hard use, rock dust, or pea gravel would work as well. But, a bazillion rubber balls krammed in there would work even better and maybe not weigh so much. I saw a listing for 12 gross super balls recently. I'll post a video if I ever make up my mind on this tool station...

Hi sorry, first love from the UK. I have a question about using carbon fibre as a hull of a narrowboat for the British canals and water ways. Could I use carbon fibre as a hull which not only needs to take hits from other boats but also from rocks and shopping trolleys under the water line. Sorry for my question I just looking for other options other then steel or aluminium as a hull. Not only do narrowboat have to be blacked every 3 years but the proof steel is so high right now. Plus I would love a narrowboat home as unique as myself. Thank you for your time 😘

Great video. The level of care in getting the pattern straight really hit home with me. I would have never thought to use a straight edge! I will now though! Was there a follow up to this video? Where was this used?

When you're doing the epoxy, is the tape wrapped around it so there's no epoxy build up on the other side where it runs off? I assume you then tape off on the edge and epoxy the other side?

Nice work Jim, I learnt that pattern idea 23yrs ago when I left school and work in a boat building yard in New Zealand, I used the idea again last week when I lined a ceiling in a house in walnut veneer, came out mint! Hope your doing well in 2022? Cheers

Should have made (2) 2 tool stands. The bench and pipe vises on one, and a real anvil and a post vise on the other. That cast iron anvil isn't something worth even it's dirt cheap price.

I'm refinishing a cockpit teak table top (three leaves) on my Hanse 415 sailing yacht and would like to follow the example of your excellent video. It is a solid flat surface. Q: What "spray" should I use for the same "satin" effect and what epoxy products (I assume you spray over the final coats of epoxy products)? The bottom of the leaves will not be visible; should I do those surfaces also? Also, since there are no "grooves," should I brush it on or use another method? Finally, there are no significant dents but many stains; what grade of sandpaper(s) do you recommend? Thanks!
