Is it just me or is the miyoo mini screen just slightly smaller than the rg35xx. I know they are both supposed to be 3.5in but the Mini screen looks smaller. Also the plastic Ambernic is using is miles better than the cheap plastic Miyoo uses. With that being said I do think I like the Miyoo mini plus better overall for the buttons and screen.

@@turnbasedtoddy7664 I don't have my RG35XX (lent it to someone), but I think this has to do with the perspective. The Miyoo is slightly thinner and thus farther away from the camera.

RG35XX Plus vs Miyoo Mini Plus for Begginer from India, For Myself and my teenage kids

looking for something pocketable and cheap was looking at the rg-35xx-h but its got snapping problems hence a dpad only device being pretty much the same, i like the fact the rg-35xx plus has dreamcast support. but prefer the size of the miyoo mini. haven't seen either in person though portability is big to me otherwise would probably wait and get a retroid. so miyoo mini plus or rg? or should i even wait and get the sp version which i love the look of but not the price. sorry for the essay aha
@dyXurChannel26 күн бұрын
Honestly the Dreamcast support (PSP as well) is very flaky. Some games work, most don't. Of portability is important I'd go with the MM+. I don't have the SP version, but from what I've seen it's quite a bit thicker (like 50%) than an og SP. But hardware wise both are fine. And if you wait a bit I'm sure the RG35xxSP will come down in price.

Didn’t know the company. Anyways total doing that for about 3-5 months I’m up to 23 free cards

@dyXurChannel2 ай бұрын

@momoqahtani65452 ай бұрын
@@dyXurChannel yes I meant the hyperkin cable . Is OSSC giving like ps2 emulator at pc ?
@dyXurChannel2 ай бұрын
Kinda... For consoles like the SNES the OSSC will look just like an emulator, but once you enter 3D graphics it gets a little tricky. It will look like you emulate a PS2 game at native resolution and then upscale it. The problem there is that early 3D consoles were very weak and used low resolution graphics that were upscaled with some filter applied to look good on CRTs. So it can look very blurry and jagged. Modern PS2 (and other consoles) emulators can however provide the extra power to render everything at much higher resolutions and even properly upscale textures (or provide HD Texture packs in some cases). So all in all it depends on what kind of PS2 emulation you expect. The one most people use these days, or one accurate to the original video output the PS2 would've provided.

Wow, finally a battery comparison for the Micro! Considering the GBM has the CPU and RAM all in one chip, it's no surprise it draws less power than the original GBA or the SP. Getting almost 8 hours with the flash cart is great but wow almost 19 hours with an OEM cart is INCREDIBLE! The Everdrive X5 Mini should get near 9 hours of battery life as well so not bad at all. With Eneloop Pro batteries in the original GBA (with IPS mod), you will get around 10 hours. I will be doing some tests soon particularly using the NOR Flash mode on the EZFlash ODE, theoretically it should give the best battery life hopefully getting close to OEM carts!
@dyXurChannel2 ай бұрын
Oh I didn't know that about the Micros CPU.
@JtwasLuck2 ай бұрын
@@dyXurChannel Yeah so to fit all of the GBA components into such a small PCB (actually 2 PCBs) they had to combine the CPU and RAM into one chip. Interestingly enough the Micro HAS the components to play GB and GBC games but they didn't finalize it during development so it sadly can't unless you use a flash cart. But these GB/GBC games are emulated on the console so its a hit or miss on some titles. I just love this console and its honestly the perfect companion device to carry with me!

@@dyXurChannel Oh definitely sadly during that time I transitioned from the GBA SP to the PSP. This is my first GBA since then actually! It's quite rare but thankfully parts are starting to become more and more available. Screens are plentiful, we have 3D prints of the middle plate (rear plates aren't available to print just yet but those can be bought from China, injection molded plastic to be more specific). I got the FF one recently and its absolutely stunning, I'm considering getting a beat up micro and swapping with available parts so I won't feel bad about taking it outside!
@dyXurChannel2 ай бұрын
The PSP is also great though (and much more versatile) even some resources are getting harder to find (as I found out, when I did a video about it). As for parts, as you said there are only 3D prints and cheap China replicas, but I hope one of the bigger players like FunnyPlaying could jump in. At least with some cool faceplates (there used to be a pretty good looking set of NGE aftermarket faceplates that sadly have never popped up again).
