Your movie makes me cry. I missed my grand mother, my mom just passed away last year. Those memories when we had the best time of your time even we were poor but happy.

Hello Nick! I remember that morning when I took several photos. I was told that VC were on that hillside and two U.S. aircraft were firing rockets into the suspected location. It was the only time we saw this kind of activity. I arrived in Nha Trang in December 1966 and returned to the U,S. at the end of May 1967. During this time I also was deployed to the large air base near Tuy Hoa for two months. Thank you for your comment! You can find me on Facebook easily if you wish.

I was in An Khe February 1969, with the 238th Aviation , Gun Runners. I ran into a High School friend, Buddy Burdette on the base in An Khe, 173 third Airborne. He was killed after I got home in 1970. Lost 4 other High School friends over there. Awesome photos. Glad you made it home and thanks for your Service.

Interesting seeing soliders with bloused boots, brass belt buckles, non subdued Unit insignias on their hats, and doing P.T. But then realizing this was still earlier in the war and many from here were sent out to; the Field, Firebases, LZ;s everywhere with a War right in their face--even though even at this Battalion Hdqrs they could be getting rocketed, mortarted, probed...Thanks all for your Service and Contribution--you are all Heroes to us. Without good Commo and those who perform it, nothing else; runs, works, gets done, carried out, lived saves or survives.

Yes, we were in Nha Trang before Tet, and this was considered the "Riviera" of Vietnam at that time. I arrived in December 1966, and subsequently spent three months at the large airbase near Tuy Hoa. Radio relay communications was our mission.

Behind the camera mostly! I bought my first good camera at the PX in January 1967, Camp McDermott near Nha Trang. I arrived in Nha Trang in December 1966 and returned to the U,S. at the end of May 1967. During this time I also was deployed to the large air base near Tuy Hoa for two months. My Signal Corps specialty was radio relay.

In 1998, Columbia and Tristar would merge to form Columbia Tristar Motion Picture Group. One of TriStar's films ("Stepmom") was a casualty of said merger as it was shifted from TriStar to Columbia by its release in Christmas 1998.

I was in the 31M20 class from August to October 1965. Maybe we met up at that time. And we got to sleep in those oh so plush barracks! I returned to technical writing after Vietnam. Preparing hundreds of manuals to maintain all sorts of aerospace equipment, aircraft, missiles and spacecraft.

The 167th Signal Company (Radio Relay - VHF) was deployed from Fort Gordon, Georgia, on December 16, 1966. Our equipment was sent by sea from Charleston, South Carolina, about 6 weeks before we boarded the three C-141s that took us to Nha Trang and Cam McDermott. The company was attached to the 54th Signal Battalion. Our teams were sent to many locations in country, my own to Tuy Hoa. About July 1967, the company moved to Pleiku. Before the move, I returned home to California at the end of May 1967. If you email me at [email protected] I can send you an illustrated history of the 167th, written by many of us that served in the unit. Cheers! Paul
