Splat, I love it when you update your coverage of lesser-known games, so long as there is real progress being made. I don't know what other commenters say, but just one man's opinion: keep doing what you are doing!

Updates for me show the games that are really worth playing. Many of these indie review channels review at the release of the demo/early access amd unless tue game really speaks to me, I dont know if they will be worth a buy at 1.0.

Imo this update adds so much content that it would be worth playing as a complete game. They could have cut the main story/overhauled it to be just the caravan quests, and if I didn't know they have so much more planned for the future, I would have thought stoneshard in its current state was a very fun sandbox indie game. Oh that's great, I am glad to see this game having an update and thanks for making a video about it. Like others, I played until I reached the final contents of the earlier version and it was a great experience even the game was extremely difficult and unforgiving. For the new commers, I would really recommend the pickman character, as Splattercatgaming, it is a very versatile character with good crowdcountrol, that will fight from distance with crossbow and push away or empal other enemies with his spear. I started with the assassin and couldn't pass any dungeon as I didn't understand how to play it or was not experience with the game mechanics. Like Darkest Dungeon, it's very brutal, every mistakes (sometimes not your fault) will punish you harshly but every good decision will bring you a great satisfaction, at least in my case. The beginning is very steep, so caution is advise and don't try to clean all the room or you will die and fail your dungeon ^^

Ive got almost 50 hrs on the patch before this one. Its one of those games where you AVOID fighting until you are level 5 and have unlocked skills you want to use. You dont just get XP for fighting, you get it from reading and discovering locations. You saw all the question marks on the map? You just have to come across them not engage them (dungeons and such). Thats how it was before, figure its the same. Once you know the layout of the map its easier. Map is random with each new playthrough, but the areas, monsters, and difficulty are the same. Its a learning curve, but its a laid back feeling, as you decide what to do next. Takes them so long to update because they are in ukraine region, so this could be EA for a while, fyi.

Traps really are no joke in this game. Early on in my playthrough I stepped on a fire trap and it did about 1/4 of my health in damage turn one so I dumped all my water on myself which then caused me to get really thirsty because recovering health while resting massively accelerates hunger and thirst increase, which also caused me to run out of food because I had only brought two pieces of cheap bread. Then I died because I couldn't afford to rest to heal before combat.
