Its better to change ASAP as the company recommendation is at 5 year but could go up to 10 years without any issue. Further its risky as its can harden and starts to break apart.

Could be a stuck open EGR valve or dirty air intake sensors. Even failed Fuel temp sensor gives out such issues.... Commonly egr.

There are many reasons for the same....weak ignition coil,engine relays, weak timing sensors...even corrosion in ground cables can cause the similar issue.

Any internal shorts can cause the issue but not common.A click means solenoid working but no power to starter. common cause bad groud or power cables or even loose cables, bad starter brush, burnt starter armature, too much debris inside solenoid contact. Check the battery and cables and lastly the starter itself.

Everyone remember Diesel Gate. Well I was told GM had a MAF Gate in the 90’s . They had so many issues with the MAFs that they reprogrammed the chip so it always sent the ECM the best parameters so the vehicle would run properly.

How do you diagnose a older car ( 95 z28vcamaro) 5.7 got work done..& fuel pump..ran good ..but she shut off, took a while too restart... got her to a shop..they found bad ignition coil...ran it drove for a while no issues, but when I got her back ...ran it for a while. Test drove her, it did it again😢, i told the shop go through it... when it's running it pretty tune...sporadic

Do check the camshaft sensor if its clipped in properly. Also prime the fuel properly. Do check all the wires and connectors are made tight.

I had always diagnosed it when driving on speed bump 5-20mph and there was clunky metal sound - like your engine bolts were loose . Always came up as steering rack fault (electric)

Company fitted seals seats its in with a little push. If its really tight then its not specified ones, might have changed before with thicker ones.

Apologies but can you be more specific. The seals are seated on to the valve cover/intake guides (there's a cut on the plastic guides where the seals are seated) and then pressed into the intake side.

@ yes I did not know if the seals should be seated firstly into the intake or to be fitted to the valve cover but you say to fit them on the valve cover then fit the cover into the four intake ports

Did I notice correctly that you were running the engine, without the air filter assembly attached? My air filter assembly covers the injectors, so that I can't tell which one is leaking without removing the air filter, (and my experienced mechanic couldn't tell which one was bad) but if I run the engine with it removed, then I'm worried about getting dirt into the engine? Do you think it's safe to run without the filter on? Thanks

There's a slot where the key locks in. just insert the key and rotate the flywheel till it locks in automatically.

Sir pls suggest..my figo 1.4 has some issue with vaccum or brake booster because sometimes on sudden braking when clutch is pressed the engine stalls...in normal condition there is no issue... scanner does not show any errors...or otherwise i feel there cud be some air in fuel line because sometimes during acceleration the engine jerks...pick up mileage is excellent and diesel filter is new...pls repl sir

Oil on the intake impeller, where did it came from ? Crankcase ventilation on some turbo seal ? My core gets oily sweat, but car runs fine, no oil consumption. Just little bit of oil is collecting at the actuator bracket. Any advice ? Tnx

@Prakicov I guess the oil is bit leaking from turbo housing. Could service the turbo and replace the housing seals alone (compressor side) so it wont leak to outside. (This too is an option and not necessary).

I have a question. I have a 2001 Ram 1500 with the 5.9L V8. I replaced the thermostat about 6 weeks ago due to some seepage at the thermostat housing. It was the factory original. Since then according to the temp gauge the motor does not reach operating temp, it stays low probably in around 160-170. Yesterday the check engine light came on. The scan gave a P1281 code which essentially says engine coolant below operating temperature. Do you think the new thermostat is stuck open in or the CTS is bad. The sensor was working prior to the new thermostat going in.

Hi, you can simply check the thermostat. Should be done when the engine is cold.Start the engine, touch the coolant pipe that comes from thermostat to radiator. If its getting warm immediately after starting the engine then probably its stuck open.

Common issue with 1.4 tdci engines is injector calibration and actuator fault. Rarely, dirty maf sensor and non working fuel preheater does the same.

So if i have to outline its actuator, maf sensor & fuel pre heater. Actuator … I need to check where its located. Fuel preheater meaning glow plug you mean? During injector change 4 glow plugs were changed.

I'm experiencing a power steering malfunction sometimes while driving. It's like the steering gets stuck at one point, difficult to turn for a short while and suddenly gets released. Sometimes I just have to stop the engine and start again to be able to steer again. Could this be a sign of bad alternator?

@@dailyhandsdiy by module you mean the electronic control module right? My electrician also noted that. I had the ps motor cleaned as it had some brush waste on the armature. Kind of solved it for a day or two but it came back. I tested the alternator by removing negative after start but the car didn’t stop. Also the battery was tested to be fine. So my next step would have to be repairing the module.

You dont need to remove battery...just check the voltage when the engine is on. it should give between solid 13.8 ~ 14.6 v. Another possible or rare reason is the wheel speed signal malfunction. Modern electric ps works on wheel speed as well. ie gets hard at high speeds for stability. so if the speed signal gets cut, it hardens even though you are not moving. Similarly control module troubles...

@@dailyhandsdiy I had the control module repaired too and the technician had detected a fault in the module which is exactly what I faced. They did a test run about 25km and hadn’t noticed anything. But when I was driving today, sadly again I felt the steering lock/hardening issue. Same time the head unit restarts. It happened earlier as well. I don’t know what to do now as battery and alternator also checks out good when tested.

Alternator practically never drain your battery...You need a battery drain test done..and check any electrical parts are draining your charge like, remote key module, internal shorts, wire damage, music system malfunctions etc...

Yup pretty sure. when you remove the terminal, you just disconnected the whole car electronics not just the alternator. The negative goes to the chassis and the whole electrical units is connected to chassis for ground. Mostly the diode or the voltage regulator when they go bad mostly cause charging issues and voltage fluctuations not idle draining issues. If you have multi meter could just check for your self. Connect the multimeter positive to amp reading 10A slot. Switch the prob to Current Amp side. Now disconnect the battery negative. Make sure every electronic switches are off. Connect positive of multimeter to negative connector and negative of mulmtr to negative of the battery. You can get the drain amp reading. it should be less than 0.150amps. If more you have a drain somewhere. There are many videos in youtube to elaborate and do it by yourself.

mostly jumping meter is result in cluster meter malfunction. A bad ground to ect sensor/ wiring or contact issues mainly in couplers etc...

Some fiesta have a gearbox out speed sensor inbuilt...do check if equipped. also this could be anything from, faulty wiring, abs module, meter cluster. If you dont see an abs light in the dashboard, probably the cluster might be at fault

Used a rubber pipe that fits the leak off port, placed the pipe on syringe and inserted into the port. it holds tight. Im not that sure the specific part but the internal working kit was fully replaced.
