hi, what it reads is send to ecm, if the gauge shows cool the sensor reads or sends cold output. Their wont be any 2 readings.

Hi, my ecosport diesel shows the wrench symbol and when i switch off and on the car it goes away. When ran the error through OBD scanner it showed MAF sensor issue. But mechanic ignored and said it will be service issue. Once again after doing oil service i notice the same issue. Issues are below 1. Diesel smell when we revv the car increasing the rpm. 2.black smoke from car after service 3. During idle car revv itself without accelaration and goes up nd down revv 4. When going in 2nd or 3rd gear it shows jerkness Does all above points to maf sensor or o2 sensor or any other issue??

Maf sensor codes are stored when the MAF sensor itself is faulty or is due for cleaning. Secondly, any egr related faults too gives the same error codes ...clean the EGR and air intake sensors.

My starter motor is struggling to spin.even battery is full. Battery terminal wires are getting hot. There is a also loud screeching sound coming from engine bay or self motor not sure.

Do check the wires for internal corrosion. Other reasons are, bad solenoid contacts, bad starter contact brushes, dried up reduction gears. screeching noise could be bendix going bad or solenoid spark...

I used spray throttle body cleaner on the throttle body and it seems to fix a cylinder misfire. 😮

You need exact same sensor...the other one will work but the tuning will get change and there will difference in performance...

How about sound system… I mean like I have a sound system and when I’m playing it loud like 56 and my car stereo goes up to 62 my car wants to stall/shut off…BUT when I’m playing it to 33-36 the car does not shut off but it never showed me a battery light on the dashboard….what causes my car to shut off when I play high volume music

Some high amp drwing sound system especially aftermarket drws high current at the time of high volume and this can cause temporary low voltage across the battery and high load on alternator which can further cause a disturbance in engine electrical systems. That might be the reason.

Surprised to see you have replied to everyone. Could you plz tell if 3.5 L litre barrel in enough for Fiesta classic diesel? Or 4 litre is required as the spec says 3.8 litre. And should I go for Shell helix fully synthetic 5w 30 or 5w 40 ultra?Vehicle completed 85k with semi synthetic oil.

3.5L is good enough...there will be 2 or 3 marks less in dipstick. Could use 4 L also..a slight more wont harm and will be usefull if there is oil consumption. For summer and stop go traffic, 5w40 gives more wear protection and for highways drives or cool climate, 5w30 suites best.

Is the 2015 Figo 1st gen facelift 1.4 tdci uses continental or Bosch injectors? I purchased in may 2015 , that was last clearance sale of this Figo model so not sure ….

Not a fan of additives, just make sure to use the car once in 3 days...dont leave it idle over weekends or for months.

is it normal to hear a clunking sound come from the alternator upon it's death?-my 2016 odyssey had this exact problem let alone it started on the freeway! the electrical would come on and cut off-is this all due to the altenator?

Hi, looks like the alternator pulley has an issue especially if its overriding clutch pulley. Any loose bearing can also cause the same. Intermittent electrical cut might be of other causes, like bad wiring, loose contacts, corrosion in wires, bad ground, failing relays etc...any short in alternator can also trigger the same.

I just had my linkages, steering rack "turner", lower arm bushings and brake pads changed. Getting a rattling sound when going over concrete roads, rumble strips, reflectors and other uneven surfaces but not when going over rough roads, potholes etc. No sounds when braking or taking turns or moving steering left to right. Sent the car twice but unable to figure out. Last time around, they said brakes were not properly tightened or something and they did that which reduced the sound alot and also got rid of squealing sound which was coming when parking. Any thoughts?

Hi, The pump was replaced recently due a leak in the housing. So replacing twice with that high price on the part, is not a feasible idea.

Ah yes it means either the fuel system mainly the injector or the glow plug has an issue. Mostly if there's jerking, injector is the one. Could just scan the ecm for fault codes.

Haven't scanned yet but I'm planning to do so soon. But injectors were once removed and nozzle holes of all injectors were open as the only test done on injectors was to open them 😢and check for nozzles blockage And all nozzles holes were free

Its not the nozzle holes, its the injector actuator or could be the fuel pressure regulator..

My 2011 ford focus titanium mk3 111,667 miles had the wrong alternator fitted when I brought it. Didn't notice until it packed up. Replacement parts are overly expensive.

Don't forget the smell of oil from the exhaust pipe on start-up when the oil gets into the combustion chamber onto the spark plugs.👍

Yup it does that. Thats normal...i guess its cause of single polarity circuit or diode. The other value matters.

Good video, can you help me ? I just had a new battery installed in my car. The reason was no power at all, even lights did not work. I ordered a battery, and this guy from the paper picked it up, and installed it, although I didn't see him do it, but the car was running fine after he left so I paid him. He gave me the receipt for the battery. Now about 4 days later, after I run my car for 15 - 20 minutes, and shut it off, the car is completely dead of power. Even the lights don't work and all my automatic settings, like clock etc, are not working. After waiting about 10 minutes, I can get a weak start. If I drive it a "short distance" and shut it off, it's ok, but if I drive it for 15 -20 minutes, it drains all power ?? and no power at all ?? QUESTION - did I get a bad battery and get ripped off by someone who installed an old used battery but charged me for a new one, or is my battery good, and thru the course of my 20 minute drive, is it the "alternator" that's not keeping the battery charged. Can you advise me on this ?? -- thank you.

Hi it looks like the alternator is not charging enough. The guy who installed should check for proper charging. Also check the wire that connects the alternator and battery.

Yes exactly, when cold, the fuel will be denser and with bad injectors especially with bad or clogged nozzle, fuel get restricted to be sprayed at proper quantity. And when it becomes hot, fuel get thinner thus escapes the restriction and gets a better spray pattern. the engine smooths out. Same happens if the injector solenoid becomes weak. Cold and failing solenoid will be weak and when it becomes hot works better.

On the 2 pin side there was a seal which needs to be broken to connect the sensor. Everything is done properly. I had to struggle a bit to start the vehicle. It worked. BUT NOW THE PROBLEM is every time I have to start I need to reset the ECM which I am doing by disconnecting the -ive battery terminal and connecting it with +ive terminal for some time. Then only the vehicle starts. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Do check the sensor connectors which were dismantled when filter was changed. Also check the battery terminals if they are properly tight.

Simple fix. Disable, Or block the EGR valve. Resulting in your engine running the way it was always meant to , not to mention, It will last far longer ;)

The code said here is related to oxygen sensor. Either the wire has an issue or the sensor ...do check the sensor first.

95% of the time, gives a check engine light. Amd if its close to fail, might not give an engine light but shows many symptoms.

Did i just notice an old piece of auxilary drive belt wrapped around the back of the oil pump pulley in step 13 @ 7m13s ? Surely that should be removed ?

Yes you are right, there was some bits of belt threads wound around the fuel pump pulley...it was removed and fitted clean.
