I can see where this could be a problem with electronic Excelerator. But with an accelerator cable throttlebody is very similar to a carburetor. What happens when there’s too much gas. And why is there too much gas and why is there a sudden unintended acceleration? Throttlebody be damned if it’s not defective. It’s got replaceable sensors the AC in the TPS. I think of distinction needs to be made between the different kinds of throttle bodies.

If the car has a wired accelerator pedal, any trouble with the pedal sensor also cause the same issue. a bad motor in electric throttle body also does the same. And also you may need a throttle body relearn.

I went to service my car and my skoda roomster came up with epc light, when i accelerate, the car jerks, shakes and accelerate slowly....i went for a scan and it was an fault code p0038... Should i clean the TB?

The code said here is related to oxygen sensor. Either the wire has an issue or the sensor ...do check the sensor first.

My ford car was running perfect. Then sudenly stayed high rpms and wont come back down. The hotter it gets the higher the rpms. Linkage is all good and throttle body not very dirty. I still cleaned it as best i could and still revs high.

I need help. My sister was driving her 09 Altima and and all of a sudden it started to run so choppy and rough. When I opened the hood the air filter box was open. Should I clean the throttle body?

I have jetta 2011 2.0 L.... sometimes it runs good....I recently changed spark plugs then it started accelerating good but now it again loose its acceleration...when i go uphill it struggles and downshift the gear....ac also put a lot of load which can easily detect....what can be the cause???? It could be anything from a simple fuel filter, aged ignition coils, throttle body...do change the filters, check for vacuum leaks, clean throttlebody, check the air intake sensors, check the health of ign coils....

If it's a Ford 1.4 tdci, sticking egr used to give such symptoms...and iif you restart the engine, it goes away and later comes back all of a sudden. A bad ABS too

If its a turbo engine, you have a boost leak or vacuum leak in air paths...or if its a naturally aspirated then its a vacuum leak alone.

There are some reasons for the stall after start...clogged fuel filter, bad maf or map sensor, failing fuel pump etc.

@@ivanjovanovic3624Did you find a fix? I have the exact problem. I was at a red light and my car just shut off, before it shut off the rpm’s when to 0 then the car shut. I got the battery, starter and alternator checked out and every was good and healthy. but the alternator showed a ripple voltage of 8v and it’s not supposed to be over 0.5v . Maybe that’s the issue, but i wanna know if u found out something else

⁠@@jaysrt21No I didn't find out what was the problem. But now, for last few weeks I drove slowly and always between 2000-2500rpm and it drives fine without any problem. Still is a mistery what it could be 🤷‍♂️

@@ivanjovanovic3624 Same, maybe get the alternator checked. also found out on forums that dirty throttle body can build up carbon and cause these issues. I’m actually cleaning the throttle right now, there was black smudge near the back . hope this resolves my issue of slow acceleration and my car stalling randomly
