Great video! I'm planning a Sedona trip for my birthday weekend in late February next year. Where did you purchase your national park pass hang tag for the car?

Love that wee grass snake. Pretty. I love lighthouses, and you had some very scenic ones. You got some great pics. Wow, that ladder hike is quite the deal. Beautiful scenery. And I like your videography (I've seen other videos you've done for your Treks. I wish I could still hike and climb (and clamber) like that, but those days are over for me. (I'm over 70 now). What views. I like videos like yours so I can still sort of experience these things. (My husband and I started camping and hiking in 1973.) I adore loons. Thank you for that loon and his wonderful, haunting song. I swear you made me hungry with all the good food you showed, between what you cooked on your camp stove (mmm, love camping and the cooking) and your popovers, and the blueberry donuts, etc. I'm glad I watched the Beehive online. I have a fear of heights and wouldn't be doing that climb even in my 40s. Even seeing it on your video made me light headed. A great documentary-video share. Thank you.

I'm Canadian and I had to give my head a shake when you said Acadia National Park is American. I had to brush up on some history from the 1600s through the early 1800s. Acadia was French Acadie and it included all of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and come to find out, the part of Maine east of Kennebec River. Over the 1600s to mid 1700s Acadie was often caught in frequent wars between English and French. Some time in early 1700s New Brunswick was mostly British But Nova Scotia and that bit of Maine were still Acadian. Finally, in the mid 1700s the Acadians were expelled entirely by the British and many of the Acadians went to French Louisiana (the origin of the word "Cajun," as well as some Cajun-style cuisine). I believe that piece of Maine east of Kennebec River was given to the United States after the War of 1812 (along with some parts of Ohio, if I remember my history correctly. I can never keep it all correct. I know at one time Detroits (French) was Canadian). Anyway, I have all that sorted out and maybe someone else who sees this will be interested. Our Canadian-American History is a lot more intertwined than many people realize.

Some very nice shots, I think, and some very nice footage. Thank you for sharing. I'm viewing this Nov 5, 2024, and apparently Bear 399 died on Oct 22, 2024. So you got some great last shots of her. A great bear. I guess she was 28 years old and had a cub from the previous year. I know when she was 26 she successfully raised FOUR cubs, which is amazing. RIP 399, beautiful Mama Bear. I read she was hit by a car. Sad but I am VERY glad she's not on some trophy hunter's wall. I have to shake my head over how some people think. God have mercy. Oh, and I loved your pics of the cinnamon bear, to end on a hopeful note. From Ontario, Canada. Oh, BTW, your mystery animal swimming was a beaver. We Canadians know our beavers, eh.

SP crater. Heavily studied by geologists- including me. Do I get a gold star? I'll give you a gold star if you know what SP stands for!! It is kind of funny. You might have to dig a bit to find out. I visited this park and was disappointed I could not hike Sunset Crater. I would have liked the O'Leary trail, but I didn't do enough homework, so I didn't know about it. I will have to get back there. Flagstaff is great place to stay.
