Went on the Mist Trail last week, and it was the best it ever was! I really recommend this trail to anyone who wants to visit Yosemite.

Did u have to go back down mist trail after Nevada fall or were u able to go through John Muir trail? They closed it last month when we went there and have to go back down the way we came
@xxcalfootballxx Жыл бұрын
@@MindyNhouaVang Yeah, the John Muir Trail was closed, so we had to take the Mist Trail back.

Hard to find accurate informational content about Yosemite. You have delivered. You have done your homework and presented the subject matter professionally. I began visiting Yosemite when Swinging Bridge was a real swinging bridge, the Fire Fall was a real fire fall above Camp Curry, and no reservations were required for a camp site. Please consider creating your own Yosemite informational website. Also, please create a video on the OLD Big Oak Flat Road. This will require some research. Sections of the original paved roadway exist south of Porcupine Flat Campground on Tioga Road and westerly from El Capitan and Ribbon Fall. Thanks again.

Did Vernal last week. Absolutely awesome--AND WET! There was a rainbow 🌈 through it the whole hike. The water was so intense that it set up its own wind storm system. We got up at 5am and drove in from Mariposa to get parking in the East Valley. Very wise decision as it was already nearly full around Curry. Also good because it was cooler and not as crowded going up. Going back down at 10am was already very hectic. A light waterproof is a very good idea. Go! It's a hundred year record. But go very early.

I just visited Yosemite this Labor Day weekend and the Bridalveil parking is still closed. Some people are making paths through the woods to see it up close

Hello, I am visiting in late July. By then, do you think waterfalls like Yosemite falls will still be flowing, and will the Glacier Point Road be open by then? Thanks!
@DanTreks Жыл бұрын
Hi there! I would expect the waterfalls should still be flowing far more than usual in late July of this year. I would also expect, but can't guarantee, that the Glacier Point road should be open by then too. It sounds like the road is clear of snow now, but construction crews are finishing some final projects before they're allowing visitors. Additionally, once the road does open this summer, expect delays/extra traffic as construction continues. Enjoy your trip!

I’m going this weekend and plan on dispersed camping. Should we be concerned about bears?
@DanTreks Жыл бұрын
As long as you have a bear cannister to hold any food/toiletries/anything with a scent, you should be fine! Dispersed sites might not have bear boxes, so you'll really want to bring your own bear cannister to hold these things. Bears in the Yosemite area are a little more adept at finding human food, so you'll want to make sure you're not storing any in your car or tent.
