DON’T USE PURE ACETONE!! make sure you’re using cosmetic greed acetone as well pure industrial acetone will do bad things to you. Also make sure you have good ventilation. You can really hurt your lungs with a lot of the chemicals involved in nails. They’re fine once they dry or cure or stabilize but while they’re going through that process, the solvents are bad for you if you use a Dremel or drill, that is bad, don’t breathe in the micro plastics. Don’t even breathe in the micro flakes of your nail.

Just turn the nail shape over to use the other end so you can see the design. That’s all.

my nails have always been thin and brittle. The only times I ever had a manicure was back in 2007 for prom. My cuticles have always been dry and as a picker, it is veyr hard not to pick at my finger nails. Would this product help strengthen my nails so they wont peel as easily??

They are not really comparable products. What this does, nail envy cannot do. I’m not exactly sure what the new nail envy does as they removed the hardening component, so I couldn’t tell you. I just know for a fact that it won’t do what RM does, since it’s a diff type of product altogether. Kinda like comparing shampoo and gel (or something like that) 💕

I can find OPI easier than I can find Essie. I would rather have Carols and Caviar because of the better brush. I wish OPI would step it up and give us a better brush already.

So gorgeous! Do you need to clean the pencil in between colours with acetone, or can just wipe it on a paper towel, or just dip into the next one directly?

I usually clean the brush entirely before swapping to another color, or use diff brushes for diff colors. I’m sure u can also do what you said with certain color combinations though, but with others maybe the color that seemed dry will bleed through once it becomes wet by the next color.

Are these fully opaque in two coats? I have fairy tailor and sheer fantasy and because my nails have ridges and damage it takes like 4-5 coats for full opacity which takes forever and I get bubbles, are matter or fiction and ballet slippers 2 coats opaque versions of the two I mentioned? If not do you know any Essie polishes similar in color that are fully opaque in 2 coats 🙏🏼

These are sheer polishes so they take quite a few coats before they become opaque, I'm afraid

I would recommend a ridge filling base coat, but in some nails (depending on how bad the ridges are), these polishes will always show some sort of streak. It happens to me on one of my fingers. Either try a ridge filling base coat, or use the same base coat you already own, and just double base coat. It will help. (Matter of fiction is more opaque than ballet slippers, but I couldn’t tell u how many coats it will need in ur case… I get MOF in 2 and BS in 2-3 depending on the nail and application method). Check out float method which I cover in my video titled something like “get picture perfect application” and I have a buncha tips. Floating method is there 👍🏼
