U just didnt optimize the settings. Ur running out of vram. That gpu can handle the game basically maxed out...all u need to do is lower the hair to medium and and leave the texture pool size on high... games gonna look the same and run perfectly

I also think the game looks decent in the day time but any other weather or time period in the desert just looks terrible bland and the textures are all blurry, while at the same time the game is terribly unoptimized, such a shame because monster hunter world looks and runs so much better and it’s like 6+ years old.

Monster hunter combat is so good it just takes awhile to click, you aren’t supposed to lock on but it’s hard to understand. Makes the fights feel way more immersive though.

Which model of the 5090 do you have? I’ve just copied your settings @4K and I got 35652 - 104.74 fps average. Card isn’t overlocked so seems something must be up with your system?

@ it also switches frame gen on by default so make sure thats off. The 5080 does about 60 fps with these settings so i cant see how you would be getting 40 fps more than that unless its not the same settings

I get almost 67 Fps avg on my 5080 same sattings. And 94 fps with dlss quality with no Rt . Can you please test it @ 4k ultra preset but with dlss quality and RT off?

I don’t think I’ve seen a worse Upscaling / DLAA implementation in a long time. The image quality is awful considering the memory cost.

@@BenchmarkBoy thats the old build, the new monster was even in the old one, just not unlocked :< It doesn't even have the bow balance fixes. Any chance you could rerun this test with just RT disabled, and then a run on high with RT? I'll hopefully get my Founders tomorrow, but its going to struggle on the cpu side with a measly 5800x3d (but its only going to drive a 1440p ultrawide for now)

I loved the video! Except for the eating part at the end, I'd never eat any of that, haha. The end score, I believe, has something to do with how high your fps goes in total, and it tallies it all at the end. So, the higher your fps, the higher the end score is, I could be wrong, though. Sort of reminds me of the Heaven Benchmark, Unigine Superposition Benchmark

On my RTX 5080 I hit 14.5 vram in the game on the beta. I think what you're getting is pretty normal.

22GB of VRAM usage at 4K? That's fucking insane even at native 4K ultra with RT. I hope that's a VRAM bug with the benchmark tool and the actual game uses way less than that. In no way does this game justify using well over 16GB.

You should try Space Marine 2 at 4K max settings with the texture pack. It can use like 20GB of VRAM as well.

This PC port is absolutely horrible in terms of optimization. It has constant stuttering and frame drops. It should be running 120 FPS at 4K MAX RT on a 5090 , at least

I have the same setup as you (Astral 5090/9800x3D), I can confirm the FPSs in the same range. 4K, all settings maxed out super resolution to 100%.

I can run cyberpunk on ultra settings and average 45fps which for a single player game is fine and it looks great, except when you drive mid day from first person view, you can't see anything

I mean I'm fortunate enough to have a 5090 now and path tracing still looks weird/bad. And it often times does drop down this low. I still like regular rendering with RT, both my 5090 and 7900XT do fine with that. Obviously the 5090 is better. but with that frame counter turned off you can hardly tell the difference

What a game: You got all on epic and vegetation still popping out. I play this game in VR on 4080, which is not enough power for this purpose. Hopefully 5090 will fix it for me. Just sad that MFG does not work in VR.

this is what happens when apple and samsung sign contracts with tsmc to monopolize higher nodes , we would have rtx 5000 on 2nm instead , and the 5070 would have performed like a 4080 in pure raster for the same 550$

I bet it might be some type of anti-cheat. There have been a number of games that have performance issues because of some dumb anti-cheat that protects a game from piracy for a few days till it's cracked and pirated. Best example is Resident Evil Village. There are times in the game that you get bad stutters because of the anti-cheat. If removed, the game runs like hot butter.
